Potential Epic Super Lightweight 4 Man Tournament (If Crawford wins)

Post by klitoris »

So I was thinking if Crawford beats Indongo, how awesome would it be if they had a 4 man tourney at Super Lightweight?

Crawford
Garcia
Barthelemy
Lipinets

Crawford vs. Lipinets (Fulfills IBF Mandatory)
Garcia vs. Barthelemy (Haymon fighters)

Winners face each other.

What do you think? :bag: :bag: :bag:

Mikey Garcia isn't contractually tied a specific promoter, but he confirmed in June that he is an Al Haymon fighter that is aligned with Showtime... and also works with promoters like Richard Schaefer and Lou DiBella.

Whilst the idea you’re proposing is a highly-intriguing fantasy, there is no “potential” in there ever being a real-world “epic super lightweight four man tournament”, since none of the TV networks, promoters nor boxing managers are even considering orchestrating such a competition.

That's because Crawford-Indongo is such a significant matchup that it eliminates the need for fantasy "tournaments"...
