Are you saying Bellew is a harder fight then Parker?dirk2686 wrote:If Hughie beats Parker then people will take note but Parker is a guy who massively struggled with Ruiz and failed to put away a comparative novice who was booked up a few days beforehand. Hughie hasn't fought anyone even approaching the ability a half broken, over the hill Haye has. That Haye was still wiping out the likes of De Mori and it's not like Hughie has been fighting at a level that much higher.
Not sure he makes that much money against Bellew. Parker is a heavyweight title fight, Haye has always shifted loads of tickets, and if he wins he'll fight Joshua and make 10m+.
Bellew v Haye 2?

No but I think Haye is back for the biggest fights he can get, and that is Joshua. And I think the easiest way to Joshua is through the Parker Hughie winner.Tarkus wrote:Are you saying Bellew is a harder fight then Parker?dirk2686 wrote:If Hughie beats Parker then people will take note but Parker is a guy who massively struggled with Ruiz and failed to put away a comparative novice who was booked up a few days beforehand. They'd be tricky fights to price up but I think you'd have to be seriously overstating Haye's problems to suggest he didn't have a chance against either.
Re: Bellew v Haye 2?
If Haye beats Bellew with all the Sky promotion behind the fight then he can get Joshua fight. I think that was the original plan anyways. Of course he can do the same by beating Parker for the title. But we both agree that its a harder fight. Haye hasn't shown any inclination of wanting hard fights recently. The easiest way to Joshua is therefore through Bellew.dirk2686 wrote:No but I think Haye is back for the biggest fights he can get, and that is Joshua. Yes Parker looked less then convincing against Ruiz. But Haye looked even worse against Bellew even before the injury happened and then he fell apart. I would pick Parker/Fury winner over Haye at this point.
Re: Bellew v Haye 2?
Perhaps.
I think the fight with Joshua is an easier sell if Haye is a heavyweight champion and has beaten the Parker Fury winner than gone 1-1 with Bellew. Plus, I think ultimately it works out for all parties involved to a better extent, hence why I think it's more likely. For Haye, it's a world title fight rather than a rematch with a crusierweight. For Parker/Fury it's the biggest payday they can get. For Hearn, it adds the WBO title to Joshua's list and is a bigger event (if Haye is involved) than if Joshua fought Parker or Fury.

They may as well. Both are close to retiring and it's a big payday. Good luck to them if they can sell it.
