Didn't you listen Tom Loeffler's interview? He said Wladimir is still really undecided on the rematch. He might say "yes" and the fight will be on, but I'd like to see on Eddie's face IF he decides to retire. Money-oriented pr1ck will probably mourn for weeks if Wladimir retiers and leaves him without the millions he expects to get from the rematch. It would be priceless :OhYes:
I don't think he'd be that bothered really. Joshua is at the stage now where a fight with someone like Pulev will still do massive money. A fight between Joshua and one of Wilder, Fury or even Haye probably does bigger business than Wlad.
But why then Eddie is trying to make rematch with Klitschko happen so badly as if his life depends on it?
Probably looking for the big cash out before AJ drops him like a hot bag of shìt and signs with Uncle Al or one of the other Yank promoters.

AJ IS Matchroom boxing. Brook is done, Boomer is struggling, Smith is on the road. Camp Eddie has just announced a York Hall show, I'm guessing it's a Next Gen... OD got a beating, Ward a gift... If Wlad had finished the job, Edward would be struggling right now.

Joshua is considerably the biggest fighter for Matchroom but the rest of your post is a bit misleading. Bellew has just had a sold out fight at the O2, Brook has had two massive fights back to back. I don't think they're struggling. Who's the biggest rival to them domestically? Frank having Billy Joe in a leisure centre and Flanagan at a barely half full arena? Hennessy flogging Hughie and nobody else? New talent won't be looking anywhere else realistically.

Bellew needs Haye, he'd be eaten alive in the cruisers and doesn't sell tickets without the right opponent. Kell is done, trust me. Fwanks BT line up is a lot better than anything on 'normal Sky'. The Liverpool show is ok, if you're Scouse.... Just like they couldn't convince me Smigga-Quigley/Dodson had the nation gripped, I feel the same about this. BJS-Munroe is a good fight as is Smith-Williams 2. Losing Callum Smith is shocking and just shows how much they care about non ppv fights. Eddie is still annoyed at Callum for ducking DeGale imo. He had The O2 booked and had to stand the show with less than 3,000 there. There was a bare knuckle show in The Indigo the same night that did 2,000!

I can't really accept this when Bellew's last fights were in an arena and a football stadium and Saunders was fighting in a leisure centre. You can't talk about bad Matchroom attendances without acknowledging the attendance for Warren shows is uniformly pathetic.

I do acknowledge Wazza has had some terrible crowds recently! Goodison looked about a quarter full, if that. The Copperbox was full for Davis-Walsh.

So, in the BT age, Langford-Gangster, Warrington-Kiko and Davis-Walsh have been sold out of close to it. That's hardly 'uniformly' poor.

Despite the result of their fight, I'd still give Klitschko more chances, than the majority of voters. In my opinion, the judging in their fight before the last round was awful and Wlad was leading actually. Joshua looked pretty unconfident, he had success only after wild attacks. Klitschko was rational as always. I believe, Wlad could be ready for those Joshua's spurts in the 2nd bout. Yet I think, Klitschko made a right choice, when he retired, because the rematch is still a great risk, while Wlad has nothing to prove, his name is already a big part in a boxing history.
