Jarrell Miller: "I'll knock Whyte out!"

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

http://www.skysports.com/boxing/news/12 ... -challenge

Jarrell Miller has vowed to knock out Dillian Whyte "worse than Anthony Joshua did" after being challenged on social media by the British heavyweight.

Miller, nicknamed 'Big Baby', was not pleased with his physical condition as he tipped the scales at 300lbs, but is confident he would inflict a crushing defeat on Whyte, who returns to action in Nebraska on August 19, live on Sky Sports.

"I guarantee you that Dillian would have a harder time with Washington than I did," Miller told Sky Sports.

"People said I'm a slugger - have you watched any of my fights? I out-box guys, I box on the inside. Dillian is a slugger.

"There are times when I slug it out but he can't throw combinations like I can. He isn't as slick as I am.

"I would knock Dillian out way worse than Anthony Joshua did. I guarantee you that.

"Dillian can say what he wants but he doesn't want to see me in the ring. I can promise you that."

Miller ruled out a fight on British soil and has instead suggested that he would be an ideal opponent for Anthony Joshua if the IBF and WBA 'super' champion wants to boost his profile in America.

"Most definitely [I'd welcome him to the USA]. I'd be happy to knock Joshua out," said Miller.

"As soon as they want to fight in America, I'd be the first to jump at that fight. And I guarantee I'd knock him out inside seven or eight rounds.

"These guys have tried to ignore me but, after my last performance, I'm on the map. I was unfazed and untouched, so whenever these guys want it, they can get it!

"He broke in the [Wladimir] Klitschko fight. He was broken, he was done. But Klitschko was too old."

Tough fight to call. Both evenly matched IMO.

I'd probably say Miller has the better fitness and workrate. Don't see Whyte being world class. Euro level for me.
Miller points if it happens.

Both lose to a top level HW though.

Till Miller gets his head out of his arse and stops with all the come to the States bullsh*t....he's fairly irrelevant. British boxing is booming, home of the current recognised Champion, the unbeaten former Champion and several other top contenders.

Miller's got no title and no following. He needs to get real, come the UK where he'd get spanked by several of the British heavyweights, but he'd get well paid for it.....he should think of all the pizza's he can fill his f@t face with, come to the UK and make some deals.

Miller is pretty terrible apart from being a big bull walking forward, doesn't even throw most his shots correctly.

The money's over here Miller, come get some!

Actually be quite a decent fight I would think.

Honestly I would love to see this fight. Whyte and Chisora was great to watch so seeing Miller and Whyte trading shots could and probably would be even better.

Miller, based on his record is a very exciting prospect, 19 wins and 17 by KO/TKO, former WBA-NABA interim champion and WBO-NABO champion. in his last 5 fights: two men retired and the other 3 were TKO wins. This guy has all the potential to be someone exciting in the heavyweight division.
Whyte on the other hand is no push over though, 20 wins 15 KO/TKO and only 1 KO loss to the current (arguably) best in the division, in his last 5 he came back from his first KO loss with a KO win of his own, beat 2 up and coming fighters for the British title then the WBC international title and had a fight of the year quality fight against Chisora.

These two in the same ring, YES, this would be a great, neither man loses much face with a loss and would have to work back into world contention but everyone watching would be in for a treat.

I think Miller stops Whyte in the late rounds provided he doesn't balloon up to the 320-330 lbs by the time they fight

I did think that as well about Miller.

I don't see Whyte getting the KO but I do see Miller walking him down.

Going to take some stopping Miller but can be outboxed from a distance with ease.

Washington needed to keep moving but is obviously limited. The win probably flatters Miller in what turned out to be a bit of a poor fight.

Miller isn't impressive. I think Whyte is better and wins.

Millers living in the 90sif he thinks heavyweight boxing is being run in America and that's where you prove yourself.

However I actually think this is a bad style for whyte and think miller would beat him

What wins?

Better skills or better conditioning?

That's the question this matchup presents.

Neither.
More power will win it. Whyte has it and Miller is wide open to the left and right overhand hook. Look at how many times feather fisted Washington landed those shots flush and tell me that if Whyte had landed them Miller would be still standing.
No chance. Goodnight nurse and wake me for my sponge bath.

Maybe Miller would tighten up against someone who can hurt him? Whyte really isnt a major banger anyway, and I think think you're off in your prediction of a KO for him in 4 or under (and your assertion that Parker couldnt beat Whyte)

IMO a fairly evenly matched fight

What gives you the idea that Whyte is a big puncher?

He isn't. But he is compared to Washington.

He pounded on Allen and Lewison, and landed flush on Chisora, but he didnt drop any of them. Its hardly a sure thing that he'd be seriously hurting Miller...

According to what? Washington outweighs him and is a bigger man in general, there's every reason to believe he hits every bit as hard as Whyte does.

I like both fighters. I'd LOVE for Whyte to win a title just to hear his interviews etc. He cracks me up big time. Especially his impression of Chisora

I couldn't pick a winner in this fight. Miller a bigger puncher but Whyte as tough as old boots & he's (a little) more rounded than when he fought Joshua. Miller only been past 6 twice (both stoppages) so how would he fare down the stretch?

Would love for this fight to be made but I'd rather see Whyte challenge Wilder on the undercard of Joshua Pulev.

Miller says so much, he doesn't dare to come to the UK, and when he said something similar around Ortiz, Ortiz suddenly said, well bring it on? And then Miller suddenly chickened out.
And about Whyte, Whyte should simply fight Mansour, it would be a very exiting fight.

Either one of them fighting a Top 20 guy is moving their career forward. Neither of these guys have much of a resume, and neither of them are so badass that anybody is "ducking them" by not fighting them. They both need to make a name for themselves still. They're both lower top 10 or fringe contenders at this point.

For sure !
Wilder isn't keen on come forward opponents even though he would windmill Miller into wholemeal, it's still risky

Fact that he's top 10 should raise his odds right? Miller was already beggin for the fight against Wilder when Wilder wasn't even a champ.
