For me, Cotto fought Mayweather the best of anybody.. He popped Floyd right in the face with a lot of sweet jabs -- right on the nose with perfect timing.. A complete novice like McGregor needs a guy like Cotto who understands the mechanics and timing of the jab... Mikey Garcia, Loma, Crawford, GGG, Kovalev, Usyk, AJ...all can jab nice... It's a really good point you make here but I think that it all comes down to the fact that some boxers are inexplicably unlikable for reasons unknown. There's something about Ward that people just do not like and I can't figure it out or put my finger on it as I am one of them that dislikes him for no good reason. I've won't miss any of his fights. Regardless of whom he fights, i'm always rooting against him. No idea why.

Everyone knew Maidana was dirty and had to be dirty to compete with Floyd because he needed to make up for the lack of skills in that fight. But you're absolutely right...every illegal tactic he used in the first fight had me jumping out of my chair with joy.
