Box Rec Has Sold Out.

Post by MachoTime »

Taking odds on a mismatch. Mayweather McGregor. Considering this a real Boxing Match. Seriously. I thought Box Rec or whoever owns it take that sh*t down and show some credibility.

How has Boxrec sold out? They didn't put the matchup together. You won't find a Boxing site that doesn't have this fight in their pick 'em game if they have a pick 'em game.

UFC fighters vs Boxers isn't suddenly going to become a common occurrence. It's just a rare crossover matchup. Nothing to get worked up over.

I wrote an article about Mayweather vs McGregor and how Boxing fans in general seem to feel about it. It should be up at some point in the next 24 hours.

So what?

It's a Retired fighter vs an Active fighter.

If Mayweather was somehow depriving somebody of their shot by doing this I'd say it's bullsh*t, but since he's not an active fighter and doesn't intend to be regularly competing in Boxing anymore this should just be taken as what it is. A one off event. If you don't care about it, don't watch it. It's not a big deal that it's taking place, and doesn't hurt anybody.

If people buy it and feel like they wasted their money, well then maybe they should do a little research and know what they're buying.

Ok whatever you say Gilgamesh. Try explaining 49-0 vs 0-0 ?

Ignoring it will not make it go away. Just don't buy it. Talk others into not buying it. Be convincing enough to get them to convince others not to buy it.

Starting another thread about it is just promoting it.

Retired Boxing Champion vs active UFC Champion who is 12 years younger, and in his physical prime. The general public thinks it's gonna be a competitive fight and they're wrong, but they'll buy it. That's all the explanation needed.

You gonna honestly tell me if somebody was gonna pay you 100 Million dollars to fight somebody you'd beat up easy you'd turn it down?

Why are people so angry about this?

It's an irrelevance to the landscape of boxing. It's a shame it's taking away shine from Canelo-GGG but it is what it is, I can't wait till it's over to be honest.

The people that are the most vocal about the fight are the people that just love to be this guy.

Mayweather's gonna fight a fight he's not gonna LOSE! :witzend: :witzend: :witzend: DAMN IT!

They're the Boxing fans that care most ironically.

Yeah you've said that umpteen times, what is your point?

He's not picked some random bloke off the street who's never had a fight has he? He's fighting a champion fighter from another sport.

Really. McGregor has zero boxing experience. How about Sylvester Stallone getting a Boxing License.

So? Don't watch it then.

Sylvester Stallone is an elderly actor, hardly the same as a 28 year old prime MMA champion is it?

It does not matter does it it's still a 49-0 fighter vs. 0-0 you want to be a bigshot and get frustrated about it. You can't explain 49-0 vs 0-0 can you?

What on earth are you babbling on about?

Explain 49-0 vs 0-0? Okay, well, 49 is the number of victories Floyd Mayweather had, and 0 is the amount of losses he has had. The 0-0 refers to Conor's no fights (wins or losses) in the sport of boxing. Is that explanation enough for you? Do you now understand. :TU:

Simply saying Get outta here Big shot, who's next doesn't mean you're winning any arguments. Especially when you're not even coherently making your point, which is poorly thought out to begin with.
