Malignaggi was bruised and said McGregor did well and then says something different because of a photo that makes it seem as if he was knocked down. Maybe he was. I can't believe people and journalists think that this is a conspiracy. Malignaggi's anger is genuine. Do you think Showtime wants their commentator saying that he kicked McGregor's a$$ in sparring? How is that going to help sell tickets and pay per views?
Ha what? You didn't answer the question? Mind Boggling.

I'm no spring chicken, but I don't have a problem that it's being characterized as a big fight. It will all be over in less than a month. I'll go to the movie theater and pay $40 to watch it. There are other fights on the card.

It's going to be a way more than that. Why don't you buy a streambox and watch it for free.

Must be tough. Do you not have any friends because you keep repeating things as if people didn't hear you the first time you poorly explained something?

Age has little to do with anything. I know more about Boxing than most because I follow it with a level of devotion that very few can match.

Wait, wait...let me guess 49-0 vs 0-0 how can I explain that? Right

Yeah heard it before guy. Get some new material.

Just having a little fun with you now. If you're not gonna post seriously you're not gonna get serious responses.

Conor has really proved nothing as a boxer, so even just beating some prospects or journeymen known to cause upsets would increase his legitimacy. Guys like Ray Sefo and John Wayne Parr were world class kickboxers with good hands, yet neither of them could get anywhere near the highest level in boxing; Sefo, for example, was heavily stopped by a guy Tony Thompson iced in one.

Knocking out a bunch of MMA fighters, many of whom started in grappling, is very different from being competitive in a boxing match with an ATG who was on top of the sport just a few years earlier. Keep in mind that Conor hasn't had it all his way with the hands either..

I don't know where to get a streambox. I have seen it advertised for $40. Cinemark is showing it. I predicted the tickets would be around $40. You can't charge much more than that for sitting in a movie theater. I will not pay $100, but they will have my $40. I am not going to regret it no matter what happens.

Julio Cesar Chavez was 40-0 when he faced a guy making his pro debut.

Sugar Ray Robinson had over 120 fights when he faced his last debutant.

This is not unusual looking at boxing history.
The only historical milestone of this fight is the amount of money that these guys are going to make.

I'm not excited about this fight but both fighters would be stupid to pass up on this kind of money.

When Kittipong Jaigrajang was 62-1-1, he fought three debutantes in a row. All three of those fights were listed on boxrec. When Pongsaklek Wonjongkam was 87-5-2, he fought a debutante, which was listed on boxrec. When Sirimongkhon Iamthuam was 91-2, he fought a debutante, which was listed on boxrec. When Archie Moore was 185-23-10, he fought a debutante, which was listed on boxrec. When Sam Langford was 179-27-38, he fought a debutante, which was listed on boxrec. When Tommy Ryan was 76-1-9, he fought a debutante, which was listed on boxrec. When Joe Gans was 141-8-16, he fought a debutante, which was listed on boxrec. When Jack Johnson was 49-6-8, he fought a debutante, which was listed on boxrec.

Boxrec never sold out. This topic never had any substance to begin with. The OP never replies with anything except "49-0 vs 0-0 bigshot." This thread deserves to be locked, and I also wouldn't mind if I never saw MachoTime again.

So what?

It's a Retired fighter vs an Active fighter.

If Mayweather was somehow depriving somebody of their shot by doing this I'd say it's bullsh*t, but since he's not an active fighter and doesn't intend to be regularly competing in Boxing anymore this should just be taken as what it is. A one off event. If you don't care about it, don't watch it. It's not a big deal that it's taking place, and doesn't hurt anybody.

If people buy it and feel like they wasted their money, well then maybe they should do a little research and know what they're buying.
Ok whatever you say Gilgamesh. Try explaining 49-0 vs 0-0 ?
So what?
