Sorry to hear that.
I bet you watch his fights though. Boxing needs villians and we watch to see them get beaten.
I think ( hope) he might be 2 or 3 fights away from a loss.
Unless he wins the WBSS
Imagine his ego if he wins that!!
Investigate a good counciller just in case :brick:

Unless somebody is aware of active boxers from around central Louisiana. I'm certainly not.

The closest thing to it I saw was one of the guys that fought on the card in Alexandria was from there, Alexandria isn't too terribly far from me. The kid won by a questionable DQ. His name was Brandon Shavers, but there were 2 other guys on the card. 1 from Alexandria, and 1 from Monroe (about 2 hours drive away, further North) they were both less impressive than Shavers.

So I guess my answer would have to be Brandon Shavers.

I had missed that this was supposed to be about active boxers. George Chuvalo certainly doesn't fit in that category!

I nearly got clobbered when I was HEAVILY supporting BJS against Eubank :OhYes:

I didn't actually bother with Quinlan and Abraham - you had to pay £20 (or something like that) to watch them. F*ck that!

Don't say things like that... I think I'll come over to NZ for the whole of the WBSS :TU:

I was born in Buffalo, NY, raised in Lockport & currently reside in Niagara Falls. So in taking into account all of western New York I'd say the most popular fighters are light-heavyweight Lionell Thompson from Buffalo & Nick Casal from Niagara Falls ( although he's been inactive for a while now ) in boxing. Then, in Lockport, there's Amer Abdallah who's an undefeated kickboxer who holds the WKA World Cruiserweight title & Joe Taylor a professional kickboxer/MMA fighter who just won by KO in his GLORY debut.
Other than those fighters there aren't too many active pros at this time. But there are quite a few successful amateurs who've gone on to win state & regional titles & competed in the nationals so hopefully, they'll be turning pro soon.
