I am sure I read a tweet from Peter Fury the other day saying "we have spent £60k on sparring partners and advertising in Manchester, so we are serious" - not sure who the "we" is, if it is the Fury's themselves or Hennessey ?CHRIS TARRANT wrote:Lot's of advertising for this appearing round Manchester right now.
Quite fancy the fight tbh. How does promoters giving free tickets for undersold shows work? Do they just give them a randomers passing the arena?
Is the Fury v Parker going to be a hard sell?

Cheap for a big arena world title show. Very cheap. Excellent lower tier seats for £100 + fees.MarkMcBurney wrote:Not cheap - cheapest are just under £50 inc fees.Boxerbeetle wrote:What are ticket prices like?

Yeah the decent seats are quite reasonable but the majority will be looking at the bottom two rungs of ticket prices, for a show that has so far tanked, £50 a seat for a crap view isn't great.mickey1975 wrote:Cheap for a big arena world title show. Think there'll be a lot of comps nearer fight week. That's when I'll be looking.
The prices aren't too out there for a world title arena show, but I just don't trust the fight will even happen still.

Buy the cheapest seats and get an upgrade when it's 3/4 empty on the night.

Not bad prices at all. I'd just be too concerned about the show getting pulled, so not interested in buying one.

Ive done that before at a pop concert. Tad embarrasing moving forward when you see emtpy seats, only to be moved by the customer who turns up for the main attaction.bigjack wrote:TheCobra wrote:Buy the cheapest seats and get an upgrade when it's 3/4 empty on the night.

Wasn't like that, they were taking your upper tier tickets off you and giving you lower tier ones. I was front row, block 104, better than ringside.mimmy123 wrote:Ive done that before at a pop concert. Slightly different situation but I ended up basically at ringside for Haye- Chisora. We bought tickets at the back on the floor/pitch but we got there early and the security was so lax We kept creeping forward without being challenged until We got to about 5 rows down. Just before the main event the people who paid for our seats turned up so we had to move, but the heavens opened up and everybody stood up from then on leaving the seating in chaos and we ended gping even further forward to just behind Frank W and co.

few more fights added to the bill and heavyweight Con Sheenan will be fighting. Not seen this lad fight before so at least there is one fight I will be interested in.

Yes for sure.mimmy123 wrote:few more fights added to the bill and heavyweight Con Sheenan will be fighting. Not seen this lad fight before so at least there is one fight I will be interested in.
Am I right that no one mentioned Con in their future HW division predictions?
Be interesting to see how he goes. If his fight does not make it onto the international televised coverage- you will let us know what you think of him?
On a domestic level the card is OK.
Re: Is the Fury v Parker going to be a hard sell?
Wasn't greatly impressed v Zsalek.
He'd need to improve on that showing definitely.

Hmmm, one TKO in his first 6 fights..3132DW wrote:Wasn't greatly impressed v Zsalek.

Not what one would expect from a HW is it?
28 is a bit late in the game to be starting out 6 fights in. Still, it's not unusual.
I wonder if moving to train in the US will help him along?

Do we know what's happening with tv coverage yet? Can't remember seeing anything confirmed?

Itv box office has been mentioned and is listed in this site.Boxerbeetle wrote:Do we know what's happening with tv coverage yet? Can't remember seeing anything confirmed?
IMO this fight would be a disaster on PPV.
