Jack The Ripper Vs Nate Clev

Post by diddy »

What type of chances are we giving Cleverly in this one? In Vegas. On a TMT promotion?

Pretty silly to say that if you've paid attention to Jack's recent fights and scorecards...if that was what you were meaning..... that he'd have a home town and TMT advantage. Saying that, as clever as Cleverly is apparently outside of the ring..Jack is the smarter boxer and hopefully is as powerful moving up and maybe a bit more active early on so I see him winning the fight which means he might get a draw.

Badou Jack has never been overly impressive so Cleverly has a respectable chance.

I'd say 65% for Jack, 35% Clev.

Jack should win handily. Never know how he'll be treated on the cards.

Jack better all rounder. Clev slightly one dimensionally but very game. Could be a decent fight fairly well matched, but the better boxer and technician, jack should take it by 3-5 points

Am I the only one who thought Cleverly actually beat Fonfara?

Im not sure if Clev is defensively sound enough to avoid the type of shots that will outweigh the credit he'd get for outworking Jack.

Jack certainly isn't the kind of talent where I'd say this isn't a possibility. I'm leaning toward Jack by decision, but this wouldn't shock me.

Clev's biggest weakness is power; and Jack is hard so the only Clev victory I can see is on points.
He has great work rate so it is conceivable that he will outwork Jack.
He also has a decent chin; but as others have suggested, he is not always the best at getting out of the way of what Jack might bring so he will need it.
Pressed into a call I would say Clev outworking Jack to a narrow decision.
But I would not be surprised if Jack grinds him down and possibly stops him late.

We'll see...its a good fight, at least the circus are doing that right. we'll see how cleverly takes it to the body. I love Jack's commitment to the body, Dylan whyte should give the name he stole from McCallum to Jack...aka Badou the body Snatcher Jack and Whyte should change his name to Dillian Chisoras Shadow Whyte :OhYes:

Jack was lucky at SMW because the division was so damn weak, but he's going into an extremely competitive division at LHW. With that said, I think he beats Cleverly pretty wide. I feel for Jack though, because he beat Bute and DeGale.

I can see cleverly just continually walking into shots in this one.
