30 Points for LIGIT World TITLE (lineal title) WINS

or something to this effect...

this too me would put the fighters ratings closer to real life and not miles apart, either too high or low from one another.

:box:
we tried this approach over 10 years ago, it creates really, really, really bad ratings

I don't like the new display either. I really liked the previous format from the standpoint of both the info and the display, and I'm puzzled why it was changed. Were there that many dissenters? Hope you'll reconsider the change and restore the previous version.

that's interesting, I don't understand how or why?

I can't see how modern fighters with less than 40 fights often end up rated over past fighters with triple, quadruple or more even number of fights, fighting UP in weight as they progressed in years and age.

likewise I understand how fighters with hundreds of fights shouldn't necessarily find themselves rated higher than fighters with significantly lower amounts of fights, weight hoping and years...

so the resolve is the greater number of Points 'given' for more Important Title fights and rising in significance.

example Outcome, a fighter with 200 fights and 125 wins might only have approx. 250 and likewise a fighter with 50 fights might have 350 points because of Title fights and stoppages.

so it works at both ends, but the disparity in numbers is more realistic and honest, especially among TOP fights. No?

there must be a better way surely? I mean Archie Moore & LL were sitting over 2000 pts while other greats were 1000 points and more behind. Which of course among Top Level fighters is just not accurate!

example Rocky Marciano - 49 fights, 49 Wins, (43Ko's), 0 losses

2 points a Win = 98 Points
1 point per KO or Stoppage = 43 Points

7 World Title Wins X 30 Points = 210 Points
1 World Title Eliminator Win +20 = 20 Points

Total Points 371 points.

so something like that Tweaked to add more or less points, added or not for the same criteria and/or other possibilities in it.

it could be higher too, with greater numbers applied to LIGIT World Title matches as just a further example.

Are the KOs for each bout not populated yet?

Previously on the old layout there was a dropdown arrow beside the tape icon to view the fighters records including their KOs going into that bout. When you now click on 'view this bout' all of the figues beside KOs appear blank (or at least for me they do)

The new layout will take a bit of getting used to but personally I much preferred the bout details dropdown in the same page rather than a new link off to a seperate page altogether.

The "Watching" page is now totally useless as you can't sort by date, nor can you click on the date to see the tv network the fight is running on or any of that card's other fights...

Come on guys, you F-d up the Watching list last year when you changed things and people went nuts before you finally fixed it...please either restore the old version, give us an option to use the old skin, or fix it. Thanks!!

I think the updated look is fine but I've noticed three old features that are sorely missing.

1) Sort the watchlist by date of upcoming bout and link the event
2) Display newspaper decision records in each profile
3) The cookies seem to have a bug, you have to log back in everytime you leave the page

There's also a watchlist bug, it seems like if you have two fighters going up against each other only one of them is shown as having a scheduled bout. So for instance I have Yamanaka and Nery on my watchlist but only Yamanaka is shown to have a scheduled fight.

I agree that the watch list needs work. As a programmer on a list like this I should make all of the columns sort. I also know how to make the boxers in the same fight sort together and by title holder or rank. I think the date of the bout should be the default sort. In additional I would provide filters so that you can readily find a boxer or a date.

Also, it would be good if we could still see and set a retired boxer to watch or unwatch. This would help with guys like Roy Jones and oh yea that guy what's his name, the Money guy, yeah Floyd Mayweather Jr. :) This particular issues is a case of the programmers outfoxing themselves. I've done it myself before so I know how it happens.

Should go back to the way it was before..This new form has way less information, for example no weight (before it had the weight of both fighters)& it does not show the opponents record unless you click on this thing that looks like a ruler & so on..Before it was simpler with more information on hand without having to click here & there.Usually updates are suppose to make things better, not the case here, if anything this update took a step backeards & made things worse...

Don't like the new version. Maybe its because I am now 40 and starting to fear change, but on my mobile I cant see the weights of the boxers or the locations of the bouts.

You need to login as you do here. I'm couple of months away from 70 & don't mind a change or two here & there. :D

Hard to tell why, without viewing you mobile settings. Try:- At the top right hand side, there's 3 vertical dots - click on them, scroll down & activate 'request desktop site '
Even tho you're logged in on PC or laptop & mobile browser synchronized, you still need to login on mobile & activate 'remember me'

I too have Chrome browser. If viewing via mobile, what is the point viewing (downloading) non active boxers upcoming fights?
This is C&P from PC. As you can see....only 6 have scheduled upcoming fights. Admittedly, my watch list is somewhat outdated. there is 20+ others.
I'm not a promoter/matchmaker/trainer/boxer, therefore Watch function is really of no use to me.

Except their KOs on the bout page. They seem to be blank for everyone?

I also have issues with being asked to log back in and have ticked the box to remember credentials. Think it's mostly when going from viwing a fighter profile to the forum it prompts. I was viewing this thread signed in but had to sign in again in order to post this message. I'm uising FireFox so it's not a Chrome issue. Just so you know, cheers!

It seems like you didn't understand what i was saying, the watchlist used to be ordered by date. so it would display as:

Jack Light The Sugarcat welterweight 1 0 0 2017-08-26
Samuel Tehuayo Hagler super flyweight 20 43 2 2017-09-30
Anthony Buttigieg super welterweight 13 0 0 2017-10-06

Sakio Bika The Scorpion super middleweight 33 7 3 2017-10-28
Tim Hunt welterweight 21 4 1 2017-11-10

followed by inactive boxers. that was much more usable than what we have now and going by this thread, many users seem to think that

Thanks. Yeah the sites almost unuseable on IE which is why I was using FireFox. I'll maybe try installing Chrome then.

Given what I use the site for my main issue would be the missing ko info on the bout page. Any idea when that will likely return? Cheers.
