Jones was too big and powerfull for Leonard, and though Leonard would have demanded the big ring like he did with Lalonde, Jones was equally slick and would have pointed up just as nice, but it wouldn't have taken too many close quarter exchanges to put Leonard "down and out!"
when i said peak i meant youve got to imagine both were at the same weight and both were at the top of there game obviously there peaks were at different weights!!!
i gota say i think ray could have taken him. Those flashy moves and dancing, roy could never have caught him. Ray would have outcklassed and outpointed him, the sugarman always prove that weight, height or strength differences were no match for his clever boxing mind.

Seeing as Ray wasn't big enough or fast enough to hit 168, which I feel was Roy's peak, and no way in hell could Roy ever make 147, I think this fantasy matchup is moot.
o people find it so hard to imagine a p4p? it purely means who was the better boxer. So if you take away a height difference or weight issue. Eg. Mayweather v. Barrera or Calzaghe v. Morales. Just imagine everyone weighs the same so it comes down to fighting style and boxing ability. Thats why ray would have won, he was the smarter and better boxer, more able to adapt his style so if it werent for the obvious fact that jones is bigger, he would beat rjj
its not complicated u just picture the fight happening between the two if they were somehow hypothetically at the same weight. they wouldnt necesarrily be the same height, thomas hearns is a very good example why not, but say Ali v. henry armstrong, obviously u wuld have to picture ali as a littler guy to be in the same weight class, just like u would have to picture him in a different era, it doesnt affect the fighter themselves, its to take away the fact that some people are way bigger than others so u can say morales would beat toney etc.

Ok, Valuev vs Naseem Hamed...who wins?
See how dumb taking away height and weight are, they are as important to the fight as styles can be.
y? y is it dumb taking away a weight difference? u can imagine two opponents who in the real world would never face each other eg hagler monzon just instead of ignoring the time difference, ignoring the weight difference. Dont u ppl hav any imagination?

HAGLER AND MONZON WERE BOTH MIDDLEWEIGHTS....that's why weight doesn't matter. Hagler tried to fight Monzon quite a few times and never got a chance. What you're saying is moot in this case.
sorry!! i just thought it would be interesting to discuss what would happen if everyone was at the same weight so boxing ability was all that mattered and made a fighter win. There certainly wouldnt be any james toney's as champ and you could get to see who realy is the best.
