I read recently he decided on 8oz grant gloves with McGregor able to wear whatever he wants. Whether that's or not I don't know.
Nevada state athletic commission specifies 10 oz gloves at 154. It will be 10 oz gloves
That's what I heard too. Actually it was McGregor saying Floyd wanted 154 so he could have 10oz. He said Floyd was afraid of him having 8oz. :KO:

If you give Pacquiao, Mosely, DLH, Canelo, Corrales probably even Gatti those kind of clean shots on Alverez he goes out. Even if he lands he won't be alike to finish, Mayweather opting for the 8pz gloves means he's confident in knocking out McGregor.

He wanted to but the commission won't let him.

NSAC may make an exception, Mayweather is after all their main source of income. If both request 8oz, it could happen.

I wonder how much he's planning on betting on Mayweather.

Did they sent Ellerby's request for 8oz gloves, or is that what you are referring to?

The Nevada commission said no to the 8 ounce gloves. In their rules, if the fight is for boxers to weigh more than 147 pounds, then 10 ounce gloves must be used.

Can you provide a link please? I don't see any articles with the conclusion.

That's an article from the 4th of August. :KO:

The actual decision is to be made on the 16th: http://mmajunkie.com/2017/08/for-mcgreg ... ac-meeting

Okay, I guess that article was posted before the commission decided to have a special hearing.

The "Association of Ringside Physicians" sent this letter to the NSAC (before their Aug 16th decision)...

It's damned if you do, damned if you don't. Floyd picks 154, McGregor can say "he wants 10 oz gloves" Floyd picks 147, "he wants to drain me"

McGregor is a kick boxer. He has never boxed professionally.

Sam Soliman was a world champion kick boxer. It took him many fights to establish himself as a boxer. McGregor is getting a shot at a world title in his first boxing match. Ridiculous.

I don't think Floyd is in any danger of getting the short side of the stick here.

Conor has as many kick boxing matches as he has professional boxing matches. You may as well say he's a NASCAR driver.

Which title is on the line?
