Given what I use the site for my main issue would be the missing ko info on the bout page. Any idea when that will likely return? Cheers.
All the info is clearly displayed.

Once done, let me know if you got PC with Chrome browser & I'll assist you with synchronizing Mobile & PC. Do so via PM ;-)
Mr Google would no doubt be able to assist by simply asking "how to synchronize PC & mobile"
Cheers

Surely it shouldn't be necessary to do all that just to get the site to display records properly?

Thanks but I think you may have misunderstood my query or confused me with another member as I'm not trying to sync my mobile & PC.

My query is around the KOs on the bout page. This was always here previously but no longer appears. I'll repost the image again for clarity - below the fighter on the left has 13 wins, 0 defeats & 0 draws. How many KOs did they have for this bout?

Image

It looks like the field from the database or calculated field used to populate this stat for each fighter hasnt been added to the new 'Bout Page'

Thanks.

Login as you do to this forum & you'll see everything & anything
Everything I explained before was after I did the login..That doesn't help the fact that this update made the page less informative..

Overall the revamp looks a little wimpy for a boxing site. But the basic look hasn't changed too much which is good. As long as it doesn't start looking too much like Kandy Krush I'm ok with it.

One thing that really looks silly: w, l, d in lowercase letters. A loss with "l" doesn't look like a loss, it could be a capital I (eye)

Please use W, L, and D so we can see quickly that a Loss is a Loss, capital L. Lowercase letters look weird there.

The link to the forum doesn't even work on the front page of Boxrec now

Why can't the schedule be sorted by Date? on http://boxrec.com/en/watchlist

This "update" is TERRIBLE... the arrogance of making a change, getting negative feedback, then telling everyone it's their fault for not having the exact optimization

My guess is they have changed it and made it fornicating awful to keep people on the site longer - Longer time spent on website looking for content means better Google ranking in the longrun.

I'm not a programmer so I don't know how feasible this would be, but any chance that a menu with multiple viewing options could be offered so that those like me who liked the previous display could continue to view the info that way and those who prefer to use the new version could do so?

I agree with this.
I understand you try to keep improving guys, but the last update couple months(I think?) ago was great - it made it better and added few things. The new update took some great things away (Like number of bout displayed) and also made it less eye-friendly, less clear and just far more difficult and less enjoyable to view.
I think you guys should consider going back to the older version - or at least get an opinion from more viewers.

Thanks either way.

Just noticed problem in mobile mode.
In boxer's profile/record page, under Career header it's missing date ↕ kilos ↓ function.

I failed to notice this, because mobile is synchronized with PC, therefore last fight date is at the top and Watch list is also in correct order, and I view weights in kgs & not lbs
Admins are now onto it.

Upcoming starred fights are listed on home page http://boxrec.com/ under Schedule header. Click either fighter to view details

How did Boxrec manage to make the website almost unusable during the last week or so? The "watching" feature which is what I use most on this site it completely f***** up. One can no longer order it by date – and you can no longer access the different events directly from the "watching front page"

for hard core boxing fans who follow more than 100 boxer (example: i personally follow more than 500 boxer) the watching list is alphabetical which is not like before (by the closest fight date then its alphabetical)
the 2nd thing theres no numbers of the total fighters that you watch like before

Re: What Happened to the Standard Operating Procedure for searching for a boxer?

Post by Phil Titan »

Up until just recently if I attempted to gather information about a Boxer I simply had to access the Boxer's Global Identification number from the Title Bout Boxing Game and the boxer would instantly appear. Now when I attempt to do this I get the message that the Boxer cannot be found and I must manually enter the Global Identification number again in order to find the boxer. Additionally the information window regarding the boxer's career is not as well organized as it once was nor is it appealing to the eye as each match is not perfectly set off by the margin lines that broke down each opponent and all of the information as it once did. It appears that BoxRec is not as organized as it once was. Why have things changed for the worse?
I love BoxRec and still will be a loyal patron, however, I think the site should only improve that take a step backwards.

Same here. I can now breathe again  However, it still annoys me that I cannot access the specific event simply by just pressing the date anymore. Now one has to click on the boxer and then press on the "event"

yup you r right on that point, and if 2 fighters that you r watching, only one of them will be on the date list.
theres no total number of the boxers that you r watching.
i like how your list on only one page.
if a fighter have 2 scheduled fights, he will be on the list once (his last fight)

The previous version of boxrec was brilliant. The update has virtually ruined it.
When viewing a boxer's record you no longer can see the opponents records or the venue of the fights.
Any chance this will be rectified?

It takes a bit of time to adjust to everything new. e.g. If you had a car you bought new 5 years ago & replaced it with latest version model...would you jump into it..start engine & plant your foot?
