Ali and Hearns sparring

Ive just seen a small clip of Muhammad Ali sparring with Thomas Hearns.

Anyone know the reason Ali was sparring with Hearns?

This is a complete guess, but Hearns was on the undercard of Ali's last fight in 1981, so that might be the connection.

The footage was 80s so you might be right. It also seemed that Hearns had the upper hand too.

Ali was in the Bahamas getting ready for the Berbick fight and Hearne was on the undercard...
