From what I've seen, he rocked Paulie's head back with a leading left. Not a punch you'd expect and it appears to me that Paulie switched off for a second. I very much doubt that was a true reflection of the whole session. More likely a selected clip.

I played football for the first time in 20 years last week........ utter sh*t for all but 10 seconds where I scored a goal...... that single clip uploaded to facebook makes me look like f*cking Ronaldo!

I agree to a point...we can call it a bitch move, which it really is, but look at the attention it's gotten. Say what you want but this whole situation is selling more tickets and PPV. I wish you could somehow qualitatively show the effect the story has had on overall sales for the fight but I feel very comfortable in saying that it's been a nice shot in the arm for the fight. Dana White and the UFC are marketing geniuses compared to any top promoters in boxing and this was child's play for White. Marketing 101.

No. Dana White posted those clips on Instagram; the clips that he thought showed Paulie lying about the Knockdown/Pushdown question/photo and that would tantalize the fans/doubters.

Verbose-One, this thing is being sold to the general public. Hours of sparring footage is only interesting to us hardcores, who are already on board (or not). Those simple clips of the knockdown/pushdown and that straight blast to Paulie's face, are exactly the kind of bite-size promotion that the public eats up.

Calling in someone fat and out of training for hard sparring sessions is pointless. If McGregor is a puncher at all, how come Malignaggi even survived for 12 rounds if McGregor was beating him? Fitness is a large part of taking a punch, and Malignaggi is coming off a stoppage loss to Eggington a weight division lower, so it's not like he's nearly impossible to stop.

A lot of footage is a way off all the footage though. It could all just be cherrypicked bits.
