I like Khan as a fighter, some of his actions in his personal life aren't too clever but thats irrelevant to his fighting career. To be fair I didn't like him when he first turned pro and found it quite funny when he was knocked out by Prescott however he has grown on me. A good, brave fighter with a suspect chin and fast hands.

I've said for years that Khan has overachieved. His chin is appalling, it's amazing he got as far as he did considering how weak it is.

Obv the car accident was an accident, Brook was always small potato, look at Khans record, he ducked no one, boxers a bit uneducated!! Roach gives it much more than he takes it, and Khan has never been sanctimonious about his religion.
I am not trying to say he is the perfect person, but he if not a boxer who will go to his deathbed thinking what if....? He left it all in the ring. Many fighters go gun shy when they lose confidence in their chin, Khan no, he has balls as big as they come, always in good fights, which ultimately is why he earned the big money.
It doesn't look like he has the best taste in women though!

Prob because everyone in both lists would've chin checked the paper whiskers, but only those on list 2 would provide a career payday than would've made it worthwhile (and in terms of being Kod Merriweather (sic) would be the favourite to win NOT by ko.)

I actually feel a little bit sorry for him as I get the impression he's an ok sort of bloke beneath all the bullshit and bravado, he's been badly advised and badly steered throughout much of his career it would seem. I still can't decide whether going in with Canelo was stupidity, bravery, or a sound financial investment. I hope he was well paid though and I hope he's looked after his cash because he's taken some big knocks and is as brave as they come, given us some very entertaining nights.

If Ricky Burns can become a 3 weight champ then Khan should've at least equalled that, no disrespect to Burns but he doesn't have nearly the talent Amir had/has, Khan didn't have Ricky's chin, durability, dedication and desire though and that's the difference

I'd say Khan defeated better opposition than Burns. Burns getting Di Rocco for a vacant belt to become a 3 division champ would be like Khan facing van Heerden for a 147 pound title. I also dont think the Katsidis who Burns defeated for the vacant interim 135 belt (later upgraded) was any better than a guy like Collazo.

Burns has done well, but I find the 3 division champ thing to be a bit superficial. I think Rocky Martinez is still his best win...

Yeah i'd agree with that, Khan was always a bigger star in boxing and probably wouldn't have been allowed to fight some of the opponents Burns did, although there weren't as many marquee names in the SFW or LW divisions at the time, I quite liked the win over Moses at Lightweight, if your a SLW or WW, losing your title isn't a total disaster, there's plenty of talent there to get big non title fights worthy of earning another title shot

Title counting in this era is laughable. Khan laps Broner's resume many times over.
