Crawford vs Indongo is a hell of a fight! How this one is gonna play out ?

Post by apollo creed »

Boxing didn't have an undisputed champion since 2004 when Hopkins unified all mw titles against ODLH. Indongo is no joke and I'm expecting to give T.C fists. :box:

I expect a confident and boring win by Crawford similar to the Postol one.

Indongo is awkward, I expect him to give Crawford a tough few rounds.

But once Crawford works him out (probably about the halfway point) I imagine he will go on to win a fairly clear decision.

Easy work for Crawford as long as he can avoid getting caught with something big.

Indongo has a good win against a decent opponent. Other than that he has a 1 round KO against a guy that most of us have never seen. No other noteable wins, not even close. Everyone has the impression he is a super dangerous KO puncher, but only has about a 50% KO. I think Postol is better.

I don't think he's better than Felix Diaz or Postol.

I'm putting my neck out and saying Indongo is going to be too awkward and rangy and will stop Crawford mid way.
I've actually got less confident now I've seen that in writing
Stuff it. I'll stick with that
Either way, I'm really looking forward to seeing this one.

Indongo is going to do what he always does and hop around throwing bombs. Crawford is going to do what he always does and neutralize his opponent. The question is whether he'll step on the gas and put him away or put the crowd to sleep while purists drool.

Tough to tell if this fight will be over quickly or if it will end up being a war. Looking at Indongo's past fights, it looks as though most of them were at a local boys club fighting some iffy looking fighters. But the Burns fight was legit even though I think that Burns is not quite championship material. Indongo's a couple of inches taller and has a longer reach...it could be interesting.

Crawford will figure him out in few rounds. Then it depends on Indongo toughness if he can go 12. :box: :box: :box: Crawford if *1 P4P for me right now, he is fighting top guys last 3 years and decisively beat them, if he collect all 4 belts against Indongo it will be hell of an achievement. :box: :box: :box:

Agreed with this. Diaz is probably a better win than Postol too. Postol had a great win over Matthysse, but the rest of his resume is lacking. Indongo has wins over an ancient Burns and a relatively unproven Troyanovsky. Not really at all the depth that Postol or Diaz brought.

Because he's tall and lean for the weight? Or has he shown poor durability before?

Can you believe that Crawford is now as much as a 22-1 favorite?

It's like Indongo is a novice stiff, in the category of a Conor Mcgregor.

I expect Crawford to win, but as a 22-1 choice, shouldn't he win every second of every round until he gets a routine knockout?

I suspect a difficult fight early for Crawford against the talented Indongo, before he takes over and grabs a sold decision.

But a 22-1 performance? Not likely.

The fans are betting based on the name. Not on the actual talent.

They've never heard of Indongo. That's why he's such an underdog. Only us Boxing forum die hard types know who Indongo is.

Who's they? It's not like Crawford is a household name. Vegas doesn't pay attention to Boxing much, but they have their moments. I remember when Maxboxing was a crazy busy board and I was the only demanding Paul Williams would beat margarito. I was pissed when the line was Paul -120.

They're basically saying that Indongo can't win and no high rollers are going to cash in on Crawford at -500 or somethin. Comparitive to normal odds, Pepino is right that's high. But it's more the guys in the know knowing Crawford than it is them not knowing Indongo. The same people that take Indongo now would have taken him at 6-1, but if the odds for Crawford were say 4-1, the books would get hammered.
