Your nations best weight now and over the years.
Your nations best weight now and over the years.
I would have to say being a Brit, it probably is and always has been most successful around super middle weight for our fighters.

Heavyweight may be right for all-time.....but certainly not now.Joe Speck wrote:Oh. Yeah!,because Joe Calzaghe of course!LasPalmas wrote:I would have to say being a Brit, it probably is and always has been most successful around super middle weight for our fighters.

For now I'd say we top out at the Welterweight/Jr.Middleweight range.

I think he thought the question was "which is your favourite weight?".ldlamb wrote:Heavyweight may be right for all-time.....but certainly not now.Joe Speck wrote:Oh. Eubank
Watson
Calzaghe
Froch
Degale
Groves
That's certainly a solid list of fighters in that particular division.
It looks like this is the time for our heavyweights now, though.

Domestically in Britain I think super feather and light welter are our strongest divisions. Also heavyweight has a lot of prospects coming through.I think we will see a lot of these lads in these weight divsions breaking onto the world stage soon enough, whether they belong there remains to be seen.

Re: Your nations best weight now and over the years.
for Poland it is a Cruiserweight - Michalczewski, Adamek, Wlodarczyk and Glowacki were champs and when we add Masternak, Janik, Kolodziej (not really worth a mention but got a titleshot too) and prospects like Cieslak and Balski it is definitely the best weight in my country. also, i wonder how it would be if Szpilka and Ugonoh continued their careers in CW instead of coming up to HW. now Fonfara joins CW too.
