Hmm...maybe because that was his second pro fight? He doesn't even have a dozen fights yet. Look at the scrub Shakur Stevenson just fought tonight. In Loma's third fight he fought Russell.

It's really not that hard to understand context.

Loma beat 2 world champs in his first 8 fights. Gary Russell is a terrific fighter. Walters is no slouch.

Only reason Salido beat him was purposely blowing weight and then fouling all night. If they fought again on the square we
know what happens. Salido knows too.

You make a good case for Loma, but I still have him between #6-8 P4P. Russell is top-notch but I think Walters has been overrated on the basis of his wins over faded versions of Darchinyan and Nonito Donaire.

In Walters' last bout before getting smoked by Loma he drew with ordinary Jason Sosa, who is far from being anyone special.

If you think Walters really drew with Sosa you probably also believe Horn beat Pac unanimously.

Walters beat Sosa clear. Sosa then goes on to beat the hell out of Fortuna. Walters was a legit win and so was GRJ. Lomachenko's resume is top-notch. Can't argue with anyone putting him above Walters.

Ricky Burns said he was so disappointed with his fight against Indongo that he stayed indoors for 2-3 weeks. I hope watching Crawford deal to Indongo so fast and decisively dosent make him feel too bad.

Ricky Burns could fight Indongo 20 times and would lose all 20. Ricky Burns stinks.

Has Crawford really beaten anyone much better than Russell and Walters? Are guys like Sosa and Martinez any worse than Lundys, Jeans, and Dulormes, or even Beltrans? No doubt he has depth to his record that Loma doesn't, and he hasn't come close to losing, but he actually hasn't beaten a standout opponent IMO. It's more about how he's levels and levels above respectable opponents every time...he's clearly a great fighter and can seemingly do everything; he's got power that Loma doesn't, speed that Garcia and Golovkin don't, footwork that Canelo can only dream of, etc...

I want to see him at 147 now, as he's so far above the 140 guys that it's starting to get boring. I would not really be excited for a Mikey fight; how does Mikey come close to winning against a bigger guy who is that good? I wonder if Bad Intentions is still wondering why people aren't calling for Crawford-Broner like he is

After watching the fight tonight you would laugh at Crawford/Broner?

Why is Crawford and Lomachenko being ranked above Thurman?

By the same measure Crawford was accelerated on the PPV list, shouldn't Spence Jr. be promoted also?

PPV list requirements change depending on who is signed to HBO.
If they have established veterans, then it's about career resume.
If they have hot prospects, then it's about raw ability.

If you don't want to see Crawford/Garcia you probably think Crawford is Floyd or Jones Jr.
I'm not that big on him.

Lomachenko and Crawford are two of my favorites. I can't see how anyone would have Loma over Crawford at this point. Crawford has the resume and the dominance. Indongo may have been rated #2, but he's not the second best Jr. Welter. He's a guy that worked hard and got extremely lucky.
He WAS the 2nd best Jr. Welterweight a few hours ago. Now it's Mikey Garcia. Even now I'd still have Indongo as #3 at Jr. Welterweight. It's not an especially deep division right now.
No, it's not deep. And yet his best win? Well he's only got two to even consider. A big upset over Troyanovski and a win over a the past it second best 140 from Scotland is hardly enough to have him that high, in my opinion. He's raw, been dropped four times now, wild and doesn't move very well. I'd take Adrian Broner over Indongo in a heart beat.
I wouldn't. Indongo has a better resume at 140 than Broner.

His resume isn't far above, I just think he's a marginally better fighter. If it's resume, Ward is above both of them.

Because of the size differential, yes. If they were the same size it'd be quite competitive.

Well there's been talk of Mikey G and Loma, but the size difference there seems to vast for me for Loma to be effective enough, of course the same applies with Crawford but I think Crawford would beat him even at a similar size.

Crawford's bigger than Garcia. I think Lomachenko vs Garcia is a 50/50 match or close to it. Garcia has the size, and strength advantage, but Lomachenko is so slick and skilled that I think he'd give him a hard night.

I posted pictures of Loma and Garcia together recently to show the size difference. Garcia won't have any trouble whatsoever. He's far far too big for Loma, so much so I can't see it happening.

On a P4P basis, I don't think there's anyone around today who would outclass Loma. Crawford seems to have extra power to go with comparable speed and skills though, so I'd give him an edge on being the better fighter regardless of weight.

I think Mikey-Loma is competitive as it is, but I edge Garcia in an actual fight due to the size.

Salido already showed that outclassing Loma ain't the way to beat him anyway. Get physical and rough him up. That's the way you beat any of those P4P elite type guys. You can't outbox guys like that, you just gotta bull in, and make a brawl out of it. (Smart brawling, not just raw, undisciplined brawling)

The closest anybody ever came to beating Mayweather was when they took it to him, and made him fight a fight he wasn't comfortable with. The one time Lomachenko lost it was the same thing.

Not a coincidence.

I agree, he's also bigger and I'm wrong all the time. You don't have to convince me, I've had Bud p4p #1 for a while.

If we take resume out of the conversation I would say it's safe to say Crawford is the best boxer in the world today. People will talk about Lomachenko, Rigo, GGG and Ward etc but Crawford looks a different level to me.

Which is why I say eff staying at 140 if he can get fights with the top guys at 147. The division is already pretty good, but his arrival would light it on fire.

Can you imagine Crawford vs Spence?
