When we talked about it a couple of months ago I think I said I fancied Crawford to be aggressive early to take advantage of Indongos flaws and I fancied a short right hook from him so I'm quite pleased with thathandsofstone wrote:Absolute sickner of a body shot from Crawford to end things, you knew straight away Indongo wasn't gonna get up from that, Crawford was excellent again, Indongo never troubled him one bit, I think he hurt Indongo with a right hook in the 1st and when he put him down with the straight left in the 2nd I thought Indongo looked like he was stunned despite it not looking too hard a shot, and the left to the body to KO Indongo was just class
Great for boxing to have an actual undisputed champ in this day and age and nobody can deny Crawford deserves it, no ducking or disputed decisions, proper old school fighter with skills to burn

He isnt promoting him, when he beat burns, hearn had put in the contract that he would be involved in the promotion of his next fight if he beat burns thats it i thinklittlepug wrote:didn't realise Hearn had signed Indongo, why the hell he isn't promoting this more I don't know, it wouldn't have taken much to advertise it as a marquee moment in the sport on sky sports, guess his priorities lay elsewhere

What a fighter !
It'd be nice to see him fight Garcia at 140 rather than move up to 147 and have to deal with all the politics and ducking that seems to characterize that division. Crawford v Garcia would be a sight to behold, a fight for the ages.
Then maybe in a dream world he could fight Loma after that.

I don't think Crawford v Mikey Garcia is even close to competitive.

Crawford/Garcia isn't going to happen. As much as the promotional stuff fucks with the sport, Garcia sat out almost 3 years because of Bob Arum. There is no money in a Crawford/Garcia fight, just not going to happen.CaptainSpacerod wrote:What a fighter !

I disagree, think it'd be a helluva fight. Crawford would be favourite but I don't think he's fought a guy as talented as Garcia before. Imo only Gamboa comes close and that was a cracking fight.Naandrew wrote:

The Gamboa fight was decent, but it was competitive for about three rounds and Gamboa could at least outspeed Crawford in spots. Mikey is a great technician, but I think he lacks the raw tools to have much success against an excellent bigger man like Craw, and I think he'd end up looking quite limited. Still a better opponent than pretty much every other JWW though...
There are some very good fights for Crawford at 147, but I'm not sure if they're realistic given that they'd involve Haymon guys.

Yeah it's a shame about the Arum situation.SaadOffTheDeck wrote: Crawford/Garcia isn't going to happen. As much as the promotional stuff fucks with the sport, Garcia sat out almost 3 years because of Bob Arum. There is no money in a Crawford/Garcia fight, just not going to happen.
It's a fvcked up world where way past his best semi retired Floyd and boxing nobody Conor can trouser hundreds of millions between them for a joke fight but a fight between two absolute craftsmen at the peak of their powers like Bud and Mikey wouldn't be financially viable.

I'm hoping some people tuned in to watch Crawford last night. Lomachenko's ratings last week were terrible, but the telecast was all screwed up by starting almost 2 hours late.CaptainSpacerod wrote:Yeah it's a shame about the Arum situation.SaadOffTheDeck wrote: Crawford/Garcia isn't going to happen. Is Bud any bigger than Garcia ? Never seen either of em close up but Bud doesn't seem to be a particularly big JWW.crusader wrote:The Gamboa fight was decent, but it was competitive for about three rounds and Gamboa could at least outspeed Crawford in spots. Bud has incredibly long arms, I imagine Spence is the only top welter that can match him in that department.CaptainSpacerod wrote:Is Bud any bigger than Garcia ? I would pick Spence over Crawford if they fought at 147
