Neither article say it's been confirmed. It's just looked into.

Surprised Rigo has agreed to jump 2 weight classes, Thought he might negotiate a middle ground.

He's handed Loma a huge advantage here IMO

Only way this fight happens is if Rigo makes all the compromises.. I said that from the get go and was mocked for it.

Money at the end of a fighters career can do that.

As well you should have been. Why would anyone give leeway to a guy with no leverage? It's never happened before and it won't happen in the future. It's not a money fight, nobody knows who the hell either of them are, Rigo called him out and Loma may answer.

Your bias screams off of the page. It really does, with capitol letters. Work on that, you'll get less mocking. :TU:

How is it being bias if it's reality? I didn't speak some crazy conspiracy theory, I spoke facts so you can take your bias claim on the subject and stick it deep.

Tell me where I showed bias on this subject? Sorry I'm not part of the cool crowd full of excuses and conspiracy theories. Rigo simply has little chance of beating Loma at 130 and stated the fact that this fight doesn't happen unless it's on Lomas terms, whether Rigo was the one that wanted the fight or not doesn't make it any less true.

My excitement was high when I read the thread title, then wained by the second article.
Words like "may" and "possible" do not a fight make.
Words like "contract" and "booked" are the ones to look out for.
What a bummer thread. Sure it may happen if at all possible.

Arum just proved what a weasel he is by throwing Rigo to the wolves instead of having both men meet in the middle at 126 (or at most a catchweight of 128). GUARANTEED Arum will give Loma the bigger payday as well.

Loma is bigger, younger man by far. Once Loma beats Rigo this kills any excuse Loma might drum up for not moving up to 135 to face Mikey Garcia.

Just curious...what has he done to make you feel that way? It's not as if he's an arrogant bastard like Floyd or Conor.

Not a excuse, Rigo is too small. History proves this as well. Rigo has as good of a chance as Marquez had against Floyd, Brook had against GGG, Khan had against Alvarez. Going into those fights it was the same story, the smaller guy was biting off more than he could chew and this fight will be no different. Not sure how a forgone conclusion is labeled as a excuse.

You people obviously don't know know what a excuse is.

Only a complete and utter fúcking príck would read the content of those links and interpret a potential bout between Guillermo Rigondeaux and Vasyl Lomachenko as being “all set!”

The bout may be “close” to being agreed, but it’s not “confirmed”, so please don’t contaminate this forum with intentionally misleading content!

Of course Loma will get the bigger payday, he should.

Suggesting that Arum is throwing Rigo to the wolves makes it sound like Rigo is still with Top Rank, when he's now with Roc Nation. Of course Arum will be on Loma's side...

It's perfectly reasonable to mention the natural size disparity between the fighters, although I find Best Coast's disgust a bit odd, as in other threads he's called for Garcia-Loma despite having gone on about how Mikey is so much bigger.

Your last sentence is pure ironic gold, especially given the preceding paragraph.

So many fools have been needlessly ducking Rigo for years.

Shameful!

I don't give him much chance here.

This is the one fight down there Rigo cant win. Loma is even faster than he is and just as technical. He will just outwork him to a clear points win.

If Rigo wins, he is #1 p4p.

If Lomachenko wins, he is number #2 p4p.
Only because you have to hate a little because of the size difference.
They could've fought anytime in 2014 or 2015 when Rigo was younger and one weight class away.
