The cheapest ticket from the TicketIQ app is now available at $1,500 – down from 35% over the last week – with the biggest price drop coming on Thursday, shortly after the announcement that the fight would be taking place with both men wearing 8oz gloves.
In fact, prices have dropped steadily over the past week, with the promoters of the fight eager to ensure that there are no empty seats come August 26.
Meanwhile, host hotel MGM Grand has cut its room prices three times for the weekend, and there are hotel rooms readily available on the Las Vegas Strip for less than $200.

Wouldn't believe a word that bullshit artist says, completely unreliable.
I'd love to come across as taking the moral high ground and not buying it because I know it will be a mis-match (and I do think that) but the fact of the matter is its an 'event' and will be the historical 50th win for Mayweather and the last time he is likely to be in a ring.
For that reason, and the fact the undercard is not bad, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to buy it.
It would have to be something special for me to sit up or wake up for a 4/5am start PPV nowadays and this isn't it. SKY are going into manic hype mode now and maybe not as many people interested as they thought would be ?
1st hour is free from 12-1am on SKY Sports Mix but I don't know if there is any undercard fights then or just everyone in the studio in their best QVC selling mode

The list it as "prelims"
I don't know what that means, hopefully it means under undercard fights and not more hype for the main "event"
I will check it out, it's free after all.

Prelims is a UFC word for the early fights on the card ironically.
Popped up to see my Dad. A bit about this fight came on SKY Sports News. My Dad is 68 and has watched boxing as far back as I can remember. He shared his thoughts.
Dad: "Is the Irish guy allowed to kick and throw Mayweather about?"
Me: "No Dad, it's purely a boxing match".
Dad: "The Irish guy will get disqualified for kicking and throwing Mayweather about".

Im at work offshore and have no sky sports never mind PPV capability. We have shit wifi but its just borderline good enough for facetime.
My current mission is to find someone who will firstly be awake for the fight, secondly be sober enough to provide a decent steady bit of footage and thirdly be willing to facetime the full main event for me.
Sometimes periscope works when im away for this but facetime has worked wonders in the past.
