Eastman loses by KO

LATE AGAIN WITH THE FIGHT SKY TV .

I just saw the whole fight tonight, one week delay is piss poor for the money
we pay for sky sports as was Eastman's performance.
The guy didn't deserve to win this fight he was shocking imo,
he didn't throw anything of substance till the sixth round and then was moaning about being stopped but he was throwing anything back.
His leg's were gone and he was looking his age.

Won't argue about the stoppage, it was a fair one. Can see how some thought it was a bit premature though.

Miranda didn't impress me greatly. Yes, he can punch, no doubt about that. But the way that Eastman had him going in the 6th round makes me think he can be taken. Very raw, but he needs to learn some fundamentals. Not sure if Abraham is the man to beat him, because I'm not exactly enamoured with him either.

Still, a TKO win over Eastman is not to be sniffed at, so it's onwards and upwards for Edison. He gets caught too easily though, and if Howard can have him rocking, then a big puncher can possibly take him out. Abraham-Miranda looks like a very entertaining fight, I must say.

Not that he's bothered what i think but i reckon Abraham needs an impressive performance next time round to re-convince me about his potential

Stopage was a good one. Miranda impressed me with his toughness and punch power. Not much skill yes, but you don't hurt Eastman like that unless you've got some serious hitting ability.

He'll give the top boys a lot of trouble with a bit more experience. Thought his chin looked ok as well - he recovered very fast when hurt.

He'll give Abraham a real fight.

In terms of appearance alone, he reminds me of the great Colombian middleweight champion Rodrigo Valdez.

I was not impressed with EM.

Howard lost the fight as opposed to EM winning it, imo.

Howard looked good imo - he could beat a chinny amateur like Jermain Taylor.

I think Pantera looked raw but with a little more work he should be a top contender. I see him beating Abraham, and hopefully bu the time he fight a guy like JT he has refined his skills and can be a dominate force. I will be routing for him. Nice guy who overcame the impossible.

O'kay, Eastman now a chap told to jog on. This reminds me of the two other british fighters thrown in the trash. Herol and the 'Ragamuffin' were just as quickly forgotten and thrown in the trash. Yeah Eastman got KTFO'd but the man has been fighting for a while and should get a little bit more respect DAMN IT.

IMO Eastman was not hurt. Yes, he was receiving a barrage of punches, some of which connected and some did not. The round was seconds form finishing, if you compare Howard's demeanour when the fight was stopped to the instable state Miranda was in when he was hurt several rounds previous, without doubt Miranda was more hurt at that point than what Howard was at the end. I think the excitement in the crowd heightened the perceived intensity of the attack, just my opinion.

I can understand why the fight was stopped, but I feel it was a little premature and that Eastmen would have been totally fine in the next round.

Considering how badly hurt Eastman had Mirander in the previous round I think the stoppage was too early... that said though Howard has definately gone back quite a bit, I think 3 or 4 years ago he would have taken Mirander apart, Howards trouble is that he's been too inactive over the past few years and age and rust have dulled his skills... he'd probably be wise to get out now...
