Possibly worth a small bet, but I'd be very surprised if McGregor couldn't even do 4 rounds. My money (figuratively speaking as I haven't actually placed a bet yet) would be on Mayweather between 7-10.

I reckon so, Mcgregor is likely to have poor defence and will get potshotted at will from the first bell. I wouldnt be surprised to see him down in the first then stopped in the second.

PBF wins when he wants to, like always he won't take any risks, but could do it first round if he chooses.

I'd be going for Mayweather to get a TKO over the 2nd half of the bout more so than the first half.

Floyd being far better doesn't suddenly make him a puncher....I don't see it ending within the first few.

Not unless Conor just pulls a "No Mas" or something really early in the fight, and pisses a lot of people off real bad.

In what way does paying out before the event takes place make sense? I assume this Paddy Power has no reputation worth sullying.

Agreed. McGregor has a good chin, Mayweather's not the biggest puncher, there's a size difference.

They do it alot where the payout is low because it makes for great publicity - often makes the news. They paid out on Hillary before the US election took place. Cost them over 1m.

PP have evens on McGregor to land under 50 punches. Comoubox is really unreliable but that's the bet for me.

This.

Its by no means a given, but a stoppage inside 4 rounds is surely all down to Mayweathers approach to the fight. How long will he carry him, if he carries him at all? I think 6/1 is great odds. I'm not piling on though, i had Haye inside 3 against Bellew and got well burned that night, so laying of boxing bets for a while, even though i really like these odds.

I'm convinced he will have him out inside 6, odds drop quite a bit but safer bet IMO.

McGregor will be wide open, Mayweather will pot shot him like crazy. McGregor is not going to be used to being hit hard and clean, from shots he can hardly see comming. I wont be surprised to see some sort of No Mas from him. He's a tough lad, but nobody wants to be walking into solid clean shots all night long, and thats what will be happening, for as much as he can take it. Could be like the Corralles fight, multiple spectacular knock downs, but starting from round 1.

Have you seen Mayweather's and McGregor's fights? I would be very surprised if the above happened.

Where has McGregor shown he has a good chin?

Remember against diaz 1 it was a punch which hurt him that led to him shooting for diaz legs,a punch that stunned him and had his legs looking like a baby giraffes

The fact that on this board there are enough people trying to construct a case for McGregor to win says to me that the casuals will have him as a red hot favourite!
It's unbelievable how the sheep fall for the hype!
The only was for something to go amiss, as Mimmy said, if there is something corrupt going on.
But for me PBF doesn't need to do anything corrupt, already a rich man, all he has to do is turn up to collect his 100 million, he won't even need to break into a sweat.

I know its unbelievable ! People on here talking about mcgregors chin or punch when they have only ever seen him in MMA, boxing is a different kettle of fish folks and MMA skills are not transferable to the boxing ring or visa versa, its a blatant mismatch, perhaps one of the biggest mismatches ever ! so yes 6-1 is a fecking dream price for an all time great to get rid of a novice debutant within 4 rounds :yay:

He's too smart and too cautious to jump in during the early rounds. He does not know what he is up against, it's not as if he can study previous fights and MMA stuff doesn't really count.
I don't expect Floyd to really engage until at least the 3-4th round. He usually jabs and counters for the first couple anyway.

I cant believe Mc is a terrible 4/1 price to win the fight. Those odds are shocking but what is that price telling us?

It's always the same though - the closer a fight gets, the more people doubt what they know. How many of us knew Haye-Harrison was a total mismatch from the start but ended up getting carried away with the build-up and thinking "but what if..."

Not that unlikely for me; he certainly punked out against Diaz, and that was in a sport he was familiar in.

McGregor is very good as an 'on top' guy, but he doesn't seem to have much stomach when the going turns against him.
