WHO WINS? Joe Calzaghe vs. Carl Froch

Calzaghe did Froch a favour (not deliberately) by not fighting him. Froch was too slow and Calzaghe at the point where Froch started calling him out would have just massively outboxed him, he wouldn't stop Froch, he wouldn't get stopped, Calzaghe's hands were too damaged and Froch's chin too strong but the volume, the movement, the superior speed and skills would have made a massive difference.

I don't understand why people in the UK keep putting down our great champion's. Now, let's be clear to save any misunderstanding, when I say great champion's, I'm talking about Joe Calzaghe NOT Carl Froch. Joe is arguably the greatest British fighter in history, for me only two other British fighters could argue against this claim, Jimmy Wilde another Welshman rated by Ring magazine as the best Flyweight in history and also the third hardest puncher P4P ever and the other would be Lennox Lewis, the best Heavyweight champion of the recent era's and also an Olympic champion. I hear people saying Joe couldn't punch, he was a slapper, well he slapped the hell out of 46 opponent's and don't forget he ko'd 32 of these opponent's, a figure that would have been much more had he not suffered with chronic hand/elbow problems throughout his career. Joe held the Super-middleweight world title for over 10 years and had 21 defenses of that title and unified the titles by convincingly beating a prime unbeaten Mikkel Kessler who funnily enough gave Mr Froch all the trouble he could or could not handle depending on how you look at it. Joe then went on and became the Lineal World Light-heavyweight champion by beating American greats Bernhard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr. Yes, Yes, Yes, I agree Hopkins and Jones Jr where not in their prime but was Joe??? These were his last 2 fights don't forget, Bernhard fought on until recently and Roy I believe is still fighting. American's will argue that Joe should have gone to America earlier to take on the two greats, we'll let me ask you a question why didn't Hopkins or Jones Jr come to the UK??? At least Joe did go at the end of his career!! Now I'm a big Roy Jones Jr fan, I believe he's the greatest talent boxing has EVER seen but NOT the goat, the trip to Heavyweight was a trip to far, not the actual fight against Ruiz but the weight gain and subsequent weight loss, this damaged his punch resistance and he lost fights he would never have lost before. Now that brings me to Calzaghe prime against Jones Jr prime, now I'm not saying Joe would have won but the legendary trainer Emmanuel Steward stated that he believed Calzaghe would always have given Roy trouble, because his hand speed was as quick as Roy's and Joe had great feet and punch output. Joe would get stronger as the fight went on, a nightmare for anyone. Now back to Calzaghe against Froch a fighter who was never the number 1 Super-middleweight even when he was champ and struggled twice against Kessler. This in my opinion would be an easy fight for Joe, Carl is too stationery for the faster more mobile Calzaghe. Carl always talks about knocking out Joe, what's his basis for that??? Yes, Joe has been dropped but flash knock-downs not legs gone and eyes all over the place knock-downs, he ALWAYS got up and dominated his opponents. Joe wins this fight via a very convincing unanimous decision.
