I reckon McGregor hits harder than Limond, who was robbed of a ko victory over Khan. And I know he's never had an amateur fight, but he still has plenty of punching experience, it's not like he's coming from a non-combat sport.

Regardless, I'm not necessarily saying McGregor would beat Khan, just that I give him a chance due to Khan's fragility.

Yes, I'd imagine Khan would find it pretty easy to overwhelm him with his speed, McGregor would eat a tonne of shots very quickly. McGregor does have quick hands, but he can't punch for poo in combination.

Khan McGregor would actually hold interest as if he lands he could stop Khan. Though I would expect Khan to get him out of there quick. McGregor wouldn't have ever been hit in the way Khan would land, fast shots in combinations, it would be brutal. Khan has a lot of faults but he's a good offensive fighter. If he had a chin and a brain he would have had the tools to be a true great.

His big stand out KO is Aldo. Go and watch it, he comes in chin up square on and eats the shot. He'll never find Mayweather in a position like that, and he didn't knock him out cold even with the two extra shots he landed clean with Aldo defenceless on the floor. He doesn't hit like a Mosley, Canelo etc certainly not against a boxer who's used to riding shots and blocking them.

I've seen him floor people with single shots numerous times, he can hit, I'm not saying he'd be as effective against a boxer, of course not, but his power is definitely there. Mosley was a monster at 147, few people hit like him, even in boxing, so that's no great knock.

Canelo's power seems far less impressive when he's fighting people of similar stature. I'd say Canelo is heavy handed, but he's not a KO artist, he tends to bludgeon people over the stretch, unless of course he's got someone like Khan in front of him, who is smaller, carries his chin like a kid holding a toffee apple, and can't take a punch.

He can hit, but it's not boxing shots. The stand up game in MMA (and I am not into the sport just watched McGregor since this fight was announced) is sloppy in the extreme to boxing if his fights are anything to go by (and they say his stand up game is up there). I doubt he's capable of landing these shots against a Mayweather. A less experienced fighter fine, but a Mayweather? No way. I'm very doubtful about this unorthodoxy he allegedly brings, he looked terrible on the inside against Paulie, albeit short clips I know.

As I said, he can hit, but there's a lot of guys for instance, in boxing, who can hit at lower levels, and seem like unstoppable KO machines, but as they step up, their lack of fundamentals and the improved defence of the competition, means they don't land as often, and when they do, the shots generally have a lesser effect, as the opponents are able to partially block them, or ride out some of the power. That doesn't meant they can't punch, the power is there, but that doesn't count for much if you haven't the skill, timing or accuracy, to land flush.

Agreed, even if all he had was a good chin, or even not a lousy one, he'd have gone a lot further. He's gone a long way considering he has the chin of gail tilsley, and the boxing IQ of a speak and spell.

Senchenko wasn't too bad

He was schooled by the fella who just got beat up by Mcgregor in sparring but yeah he was ok.

I cant believe im defending Mcgregor tbh. All im saying is its very dangerous to compare Mayweather of yesteryear with Mayweather of Saturday, that Mayweather wont be there. Hes a lower weight reflex fighter, they dont last like a George Foreman, they fade very quickly.
