Boxing fans for Floyd
Re: Boxing fans for Floyd
He's the ultimate rags to riches fighter. He's admitted the talk is just a show, but the thing is in MMA he has backed it up.
If any of you haters of McGregor take the time to watch the short video, you would see he ain't all that bad a person.

Av you got a clue what your going on about? Floyd is the cleanest fighter around,if you wanna see steroid abuse look no further than the UFC they are all on it over thereKiwiRider wrote:And if he does win, his record goes into the history books as 50-0 do you want that?gilgamesh wrote:I want Boxing to win, therefore I want Floyd to win.
Do you want to hear him going on about how he is the best ever, and no one can touch his perfect record for the next 30 years until he dies of steroid related heart problems, in his jail cell serving 20 years for assault and battery ?
Re: Boxing fans for Floyd
Jump off his nut sack will ya,iv seen the video he is ok but i wouldnt harp on about "the video" like you are, joking or not he is disrespecting the sport of boxing and releasing video footage and pics of a sparring session with an out of shape retired boxer is the lowest of the low and he deserves to be punished and he will be punished by the current master of boxingSAPFO wrote:He's the ultimate rags to riches fighter. Re: Boxing fans for Floyd
He went on stage and ranted and raving mocking a man (Alvarez) for making less money than he is. That's basically getting up in a blokes face and saying haha I'm rich you're not. I couldn't give a fvck if it's for show, that makes him a total prize pudendum in my eyes.SAPFO wrote:He's the ultimate rags to riches fighter. Re: Boxing fans for Floyd
Maybe the Oscar fight was a turning point. Whatever one thinks of the judging it was maybe a much closer fight than Floyd thought it would be and after that he wanted everything his own way. Hatton was a live contender and yes Floyd is a class or two above him but having Joe Cortez so obviously in his pocket puts an asterisk against his performance in that fight. After that, fighting a tiny JMM smacked of cherrypicking then a way past his best Sugar Shane and so on and so forth until tonight's inevitable circus fight conclusion.thechump wrote: So when did this "cherry picking" start? Was it against prime castillo? Or prime diego coralles? Was it gatti? Or was it emmanuel augustus? Was it de la hoya? No he had him move up to 154 and wear the 10 oz gloves. was it prime Alvarez at canelos weight class? It couldnt of been prime hatton or prime ortiz could it? Now go and find me a fighter with a record with all these nanes on it in their prime fighting them.ine after the other if you cant then keep it zipped,no one in the history of this sport has anyone had a record with the quality of fighters on so for me he is the best of the last 30 years and gotta be at least top 10 p4p of all time

Prove yourself right by citing a single all-time great Floyd defeated when they were in their prime.

Re: Boxing fans for Floyd
No doubt Shane wanted the biggest purse out there which at the time was Floyd but that doesn't change the fact that Floyd could and should have fought him several years earlier. That's why his legacy will never be anywhere near what he believes it will because he didn't fight the best when they were at their peak / on equal terms.thechump wrote: Ill give you JMM but cmon shane mosley and the whole hbo crew begged floyd to fight shane, floyd has the best record of who's who in the history of boxing,if im wrong prove me wrong

He's hardly manny pacquiao or any number of fighters who have come from levels of poverty that McGregor could barely begin to imagine.SAPFO wrote:He's the ultimate rags to riches fighter. He's admitted the talk is just a show, but the thing is in MMA he has backed it up.

Re: Boxing fans for Floyd
I thought Maidana won the first fight too. Even my best mate thinks I'm mental scoring it that way but Floyd didn't know what the fornicate to do with him: Chino showed zero respect and kept on coming.gilgamesh wrote:No...never have been a fan of Floyd.
I agree with you that Castillo beat him clearly (hell I even had the 2nd fight with JLC which everyone acts like Floyd won clearly a draw). I had Maidana beating him close in their 1st bout as well. In my view Miguel Cotto, and Victoriano Sosa came closer to beating him than Oscar De La Hoya did.
I never watched it more than once but in the rematch I always felt like after not getting the decision in the first one with his career best performance Chino was kinda just in it for the payday and didn't have the same fire. Didn't he just agree to big gloves and a massive ring and everything? He was already thinking of BBQ's and beers on his ranch.
Voted McGregor. Floyd is a beautiful boxer but an empty, vacuous, horrible horrible person. He makes Tyson Fury look like... I dunno who's really nice and kind? Jesus or Ghandi or something.
All of this is pointless because McGregor has no chance. I'll be at work tonight anyway, so you lot better do a decent round by round.
Re: Boxing fans for Floyd
Apart from the heavyweights of the 70's and the fab 4 who else has beaten a prime all time great? So what your saying ricky is floyd isnt all that?Ricky_ wrote:thechump wrote:Ill give you JMM but cmon shane mosley and the whole hbo crew begged floyd to fight shane, floyd has the best record of who's who in the history of boxing,if im wrong prove me wrongCaptainSpacerod wrote:

He applied and was granted it,this isnt a banned substance its an act that you have to apply for and under the nsac its legal so again prove to me that floyd is on the juice please? Floyd's a great fighter without question but his resume is lacking for a fighter that claims to be TBE. Ward faught a prime Kovalev twice - that's more than be said for Floyd, he never faced a single elite fighter in their prime at their comfortable weight. Catchweighting Canelo really took the biscuit.
Re: Boxing fans for Floyd
McGregor has really divided Boxrec ain't he? So many sore people on here. Just enjoy the fight. Its gonna go the way you want don't worry.
Re: Boxing fans for Floyd
He fought ricky hatton in his prime, coralles in his prime and undefeated, castillo twice in his prime. Most of the fighters he fought from first winning a world title were world champs or former world champs or went on to be world champs or fight for a world title, JMM went on to fight pacman and beat him, hatton won the ibf belt back, cotto went onto win the wbc middle weight title, coralles went onto be lightweight champ, berto went on to fight for the title, canelo won wbc and wbo middleweight and light middle weight title pacman won the wbo ww belt and so on and so on,floyd is obviously gonna claim to be the best but as a fan of boxing we cannot deny he is at least in the top 10 p4p list best ever?Ricky_ wrote:thechump wrote:Apart from the heavyweights of the 70's and the fab 4 who else has beaten a prime all time great? I never said he was juiced. The reports show that he was in contravention of the regulations and he applied retrospectively. It casts doubt. Pacquiao being denied his request was strange.thechump wrote:He applied and was granted it,this isnt a banned substance its an act that you have to apply for and under the nsac its legal so again prove to me that floyd is on the juice please? I'm ambivalent about Mayweather, always have been. 'Haters' is just reductive childish nonsense.

You should read what I actually posted.
