Great fight but I always feel a bit sorry for Mark, Danny rightly got a lot of respect BUT Mark came in at late notice knowing he hadn't got the training camp to go 12 rounds so went in there to bash Danny up early doors , it was always going to be a gamble and he was gassed by the time he got caught by that peach of a shot by Danny.

Hayes needing to just move on from the bellew fight if he is serious about a comeback. Get back in with some mediocre heavyweights. Get fighting regularly. Thats how it works. Makes me think hes unable to do it if he goes for bellew again. Realistically bellew would be about 6 months away at this point. Even if he wins it....its still six months of your time as an ageing fighter. Needs to forget about "money fights" atm. And concentrate on not becoming another...i m back again please give me a payday...audley harrison type. Cause one more defeat or injury and it starts to look that way.

His following is huge though. Enough so that a ppv against Bellew would likely be Tonys biggest (or 2nd biggest) payday. Enough so a WBO title fight on Dave would break recent records on f2a tv.
He only needs to win one of those fights (maybe with a quick warm up first) and a box office wembley ppv against Joshua is surely back on the cards...
I find his popularity somewhat puzzling. What is it that they find so compelling about him. Hes not had an impressive win for years, though i was very impressed by his will to fight on against bellew.
It's his personality and the way he fights. He's exciting, there's no doubt about that. My only problem with him is his susceptibility to injury. Shoulder, achilles etc
