There is a huge buzz surrounding this fight.
It was $49.95 which was expensive, the drop is more in line with what they charged us for Horn Pac and AJ Wlad.
Parker is as popular as any of the All Blacks so I guess that is saying something from a country that breathes rugby.
Is Parker seriously that popular? I travelled New Zealand for 4 months or so when I was just out of uni, and I found the national obsession with rugby union bordering on disturbing tbh

Jeez yeah that is some claim KiwiRider, my son spent a year in Auckland recently and was amazed at how the public view All Black players, 'quasi-religious' were his words

Umm, now I'm a bit embarrassed. Your both right. Rugby is king. But Parker has built a massive following. He is the epitome of a Kiwi hero. Quietly spoken, genuinely humble ( as opposed to the manufactured humble you get from AJ) and a nice guy.
Add to that he is Kiwi Samoan and they are fiercely loyal - Auckland is the largest Samoan city. He does charity work, kids in need etc. He gets a public welcome when he comes back home and is treated like the king of Samoa when he goes there.
I'm a fan of the man too, but he needs a few more top fights before I'm a fan of the boxer. Heck, David Tua is still a celebrity here
