Well the presser was amusing.

Then going on to say that he and Tyson are going to get all the belts between them, like some sort of dynamic duo..

Interesting seeing Huey and Joe side by side, they look pretty even size wise.

Had a look at the seat map. Only the bottom half open. Some 40s on the side but most are 70s and 100s.

In fairness I was expecting some mental prices considering what Mick did with the Klitschko rematch which absolutely tanked at the box office.

I still think this is going to tank aswell hence it not happening. Half of that arena is still a lot to sell.

Hughie has no fanbase at all and just because it is a "world heavyweight title" fight doesn't mean anything due to Parkers and Hughies lack of profile. Casuals see Joshua as the legit heavyweight champion.

Yep - a difficult task considering Hughie has no fans. I heard Parker talking about the UK Samoan community coming out to support him. That's a desperate call. He's saying the right things but I don't think he believes them. Hughie has no fanbase at all and just being Tyson's cousin doesn't add much; Tyson himself struggles to shift tickets.

Even if it's half of Manchester Arena that's 10k, so the same sort of arena that was used for Froch Bute for example. No chance. Hughie's not even in a 'people love to hate him' position. He's a quiet, nice enough bloke that nobody has heard of outside boxing because his promotion has been weak as piss and he barely fights.

When I was in London I went to see a band called Fat Freddie's Drop.

The gig sold out fast, 5000 capacity.
And I swear to you, at least 70% of the crowd were expats from down under. The few I talked to had come from all over Blighty.
Maybe that does not transfer to boxing but it is worth considering.

I get a popular band in one country might appeal to an ex pat community in another. But the UK Samoan ex pat community is tiny.

Another issue is people just not wanting to be supporting the opposition in person at a Fury fight because of the sort of people who support the Furys. Sad but true.

This is also a fight where a draw (21 times you money back) is actually worth the risk.

And Tyson said they all need it, especially Bomber, who needs more. And then he said he never disrespects Joe because he likes him and he reminds Tyson of himself.
Then the big bloke, and the enormous bloke got up and hugged it out.
So sweet. And so true, I've never heard Tyson say anything bad about Parker despite the fact he is fighting Huey soon.

Tyson's been fairly complimentary about Chisora, as well. His trash-talk's been reserved for those who are favoured to beat him, from Haye (at the time), through Klitschko to Joshua, and even — in some quarters — Wilder.

Calling Joshua a bum wasn't such a great idea, though, because AJ'd sign for that fight tomorrow. It's probably still Joshua's biggest payday, even ahead of Klitschko, and he's said as much. It's an uncommon situation, too, because it's normally the reigning champ telling the former to join the queue. Fury doesn't need to work his way back into contention — the shot's there for him later this year.

I get the feeling that Fury his withheld any criticism of Parker because he doesn't consider him a threat.

The unprovoked criticism of all the other heavyweights is because they are arguably the biggest fish out there, and probably the rationale behind the criticism to those particular guys.

Parker's team politely say that they are dubious of the injury sustained by Huey. There is a lot of interest in the two fighting, but also getting this mandatory out of the way is essential for Parker's career to move forward. So they are playing the game. I can in some way understand the Fury's thinking in this matter, in all likelihood this fight will go to a decision so they wanted it outside of New Zealand. Home turf Manchester.
I sincerely hope they can pull it off.
Huey has height and 10cm of reach over Parker, which makes it interesting from a fan viewpoint. It is a challenge we want to see Parker overcome if he can. It will give an insight in how he will go against bigger guys like Wilder and hopefully AJ in the future. Parker's biggest fights he has been either simmilar in size and reach (Takam) or bigger (Ruiez) so Huey is a good marker for the future, if he has one....
