Usyk is the best cruiserweight ever
Usyk is the best cruiserweight ever
I know you guys all think that only old school or old old school boxer can be atg or #1 ever in a division and boxer from 2000 till now are nothing more than good.
Take for one time your nostalgia glasses off and tell me 1 cruiserweight who had the total package of phenomenal footwork, punxh variation, control, balance, power & speed like Usyk has. You wont find nobody. Spinks and Moorer looked limited compared to this guy. Evander tremendous footwork himself but not as good as usyks. Also when talking about variety of punches, ring iq usyk just better.

As I said in the another post, Holyfield is #1, Usyk is #2..........Jip wrote:I know you guys all think that only old school or old old school boxer can be atg or #1 ever in a division and boxer from 2000 till now are nothing more than good.

Maybe so. I knew he was something special when I saw his first fights, same as the great K brothers, GGG, the tragic Edwin Valero...who was "fosterized" in his Venezuelan jail cell...

Valero was crap, a KO waiting to happen.x2x wrote:Maybe so. I knew he was something special when I saw his first fights, same as the great K brothers, GGG, the tragic Edwin Valero...who was "fosterized" in his jail cell...
Re: Usyk is the best cruiserweight ever
We don't even know if he is the best current cruiser.
Re: Usyk is the best cruiserweight ever
If he wins the tournament, lets say by adding wins over Breidis and Gassiev, I think he's got a very strong claim to #2, which a lot of people seem to give to Haye right now.
Re: Usyk is the best cruiserweight ever
I am watching holyfield/qawi to compare. Holyfield looks slow & slugish next to usyk.ValMar wrote:As I said in the another post, Holyfield is #1, Usyk is #2..........Jip wrote:I know you guys all think that only old school or old old school boxer can be atg or #1 ever in a division and boxer from 2000 till now are nothing more than good.

What I like best about you is that you are consistent. Every single post you make is stupid.

Re: Usyk is the best cruiserweight ever
Usyk isn't #1 CW all-time right now, but if he wins this tournament, easily beats Briedis and Gassiev then he has a good claim to at least think about it and compare him with Holyfield. personally I already rank Usyk higher than Haye.
Re: Usyk is the best cruiserweight ever
Nevermind. Usyk is facing the Briedis/Perez winner next. Nice!crusader wrote:If he wins the tournament, lets say by adding wins over Breidis and Gassiev, I think he's got a very strong claim to #2, which a lot of people seem to give to Haye right now.

it's not - Usyk meets Briedis/Perez and Gassiev/Wlodarczyk meet Dorticos/Kudryashov but I agree logically it should be as you saidBlodhemn wrote:I think the way it's setup, Usyk will face Dorticos/Kudryashov. It's crazy how they set it up.dagilechia wrote:it's not - Usyk meets Briedis/Perez and Gassiev/Wlodarczyk meet Dorticos/Kudryashov but I agree logically it should be as you saidBlodhemn wrote:I think the way it's setup, Usyk will face Dorticos/Kudryashov. Re: Usyk is the best cruiserweight ever
Holyfield is the best by far. Usyk lacks power.
Re: Usyk is the best cruiserweight ever
Lol yeah, I just checked. But I prefer it this way, although not set to logic. The winner will have the best resume as possible.dagilechia wrote:it's not - Usyk meets Briedis/Perez and Gassiev/Wlodarczyk meet Dorticos/Kudryashov but I agree logically it should be as you saidBlodhemn wrote:I think the way it's setup, Usyk will face Dorticos/Kudryashov. Re: Usyk is the best cruiserweight ever
Is Holyfield the clearest #1 of all time in any division in boxing? He's got to be up there.

Yes he does.Jip wrote:Cw version of eh doesnt havs much more power than umustlogin wrote:Holyfield is the best by far. Usyk lacks power.

Re: Usyk is the best cruiserweight ever
Thanks for bringing this nutty thread back down to earth. The guy is 13-0 at age 30. We dont even know if he spent too much time in the amateurs. Lots of folks were saying the same thing about another Olympic Gold Medalist named Vasily Jirov and we saw how that turned out.Tanzio wrote:We don't even know if he is the best current cruiser.
Re: Usyk is the best cruiserweight ever
#1 is over the top, but Usyk already has stronger wins and has shown better boxing skills than Jirov. The same can probably also be said if we're comparing him to JC Gomez and other established cruiser names.
