Haven't watched the Usyk fight yet and with arguably six or more candidates fighting soon (Gonzalez, Rungvisai, Inoue, GGG, Canelo, maybe Estrada) it feels like the right time to pause on doing an updated list 'til after next weekend.

When you look at the Heavyweight Top 10 most of those guys don't even fight each other. That's why none of them are Pound for Pound. If the best guys in the division would consistently fight and beat the best guys in the division they'd beat Pound for Pound. None of 'em do that.

Wilder hasn't fought anyone in the Top 10 other than Stiverne.

Anthony Joshua hasn't fought anyone in the Top 10 other than Dillian Whyte, and a now retired Wladimir Klitschko (Whyte's place in the Top 10 at Heavyweight is debatable)

The division is shallow, and they're still swimming around in the kiddie pool anyway instead of jumping into the deep end which would still only be about 4 feet of water.

None of them are the least bit worthy of P4P status right now. Not even close.

Rigo
Jack
AJ
Briedis
Ramirez
Jermall

etc.

The top 3 look good. Spence, Inoue and possibly Thurman are about right. The rest should be moved way down.

Canelo has a very good record compared to most top10 boxer. Has lots of fights, lots of big name opponents on it.

Wangek beat 2 times the 'year ago p4p#1, why should he be lower than 10, some have him top 5 p4p.

Correct statemant. Kovalev looked past prime, with average stamina, always gassing mid fight. He aint no top 10 material anymore. He even not a top 2 lh. I would favour gvozdyk and bertebiev over him. They the next lh p4p boxer.

I watched ward against barrera and both kovalev fights and thought he lost all 3. I also have a hard time rating a boxer inside the elite 10 when he needs illegal advantages like excessive clinching, low blows, head buts and hometown refferys who let you get away, never deducting points.

That's exactly what I think. Kovalev is past-prime and with such stamina issue no way he should be p4p top 10. Ward, I'm so disgusted of the way he fights, so disgusted of both Kovalev 1&2 fights outcomes that I prefer if he retires or moves to HW to fight Joshua :TU:

I'm not a lover of Andre Ward.
I didn't think the Kovalev fights decided no1 (as some did) and think the outcome of both fights were dubious.

He does not occupy my top slot and i feel I am being critical of him sitting him somewhere between 3 and 5.

But if you can't find a slot for him in your top 10, let alone a space on the honourable mentions list, like the OP has, you're just a flat-out hater. Simple! (Well that or you can't judge a good fighter for shit...)

Canelo has a good resume on paper. Two of his wins are tainted, and there is a lot of shot or drained opponents.
Wangek lost his first fight against Roman, and even if he didn't, we would still need to see him against somebody good of his own size before putting him in top 10 p4p.
