Bradley Skeete: Jeff Horn got cold feet, took easy option Gary Corcoran

Post by GilFilmore »

Bradley Skeete sounded off on WBO champ Jeff Horn's decision to fight #11 ranked Gary Corcoran instead of fighting him, who is ranked #3 by the WBO. Pretty interesting video. Skeete would have been a much better fight and possibly could have beaten Horn.

Skeete would've stood a good chance of beating Horn. Corcoran doesn't seem too threatening.

Horn is an overrated, crude brawler. If he doesnt get a rematch with Pac, he can be counted on to feast on scrubs for the rest of his career.

Both are complete nobodies that don't deserve the chance.

Skeete a number 3 with the WBO. He holds a convincing win over EBU champ. He's not the next coming of ray Leonard sure, but that's standard credentials for a shot at an alphabet belt

And he'd have big shot at winning

Horrendous fight but I can understand it from perspective of Horn's manager and promoter. Skeete brings absolutely no money (and no praise in beating him) but yet there would be a decent chance that he would beat Horn.

The same could've been said about Jeff Horn a few months ago.

Who overrates Horn? I don't give him a chance of beating ANY Top 10 Welterweight in their prime. I'd say people look at Horn as exactly what he is. A guy that got a decision he didn't deserve against an old, fading ATG, and won't last very long at the Championship level.

Who knows...he may well prove us wrong, and wind up being a decent fighter overall, but I doubt it. There's a LOT of guys I'd pick to beat him. Hell Skeete for instance isn't even Top 10 at Welterweight, and I'd pick HIM to beat Horn.

Horn's name was actually pretty standard among boxing forumites as a prospect after he beat Bailey. I barley know Skeete or Corcoran.

There was nothing particularly impressive in the way he beat Bailey. Skeete is a slick guy with skill, kind of a spoiler. His fights are dull, and he's the type that would be damn near impossible to look good against. He'd beat Horn I'm pretty sure, but doesn't look like he'll get the chance.

Horn will beat this Corcoran fella.

Impressive or not, his name was mentioned around as a prospect. Only names I see on Skeete are a loss to tiny Frankie Gavin. If that's not a robbery, he's not beating Horn.

I don't blame for taking an easy fight after Pacquiao backed out.
Horn will be sacrificed to Crawford very soon
