LWW without Crawford ?
LWW without Crawford ?
Crawford will move up soon. What is the future of LWW ? Who is expected to be #1 at 140 ? Postol ? Mikey Garcia ? Indongo ? Broner ? Some young guys from SFW or LW ? What do you expect ? Is there a realistic chance for the new undisputed LWW champion ?
Re: LWW without Crawford ?
If you're talking about is there a realistic chance that somebody gets ALL the belts like Crawford did. No. That sh*t almost never happens in any weight class. Politics and all sorts of BS is in place to keep it from happening, and aside from that. Without Crawford there, most of the 140 pound division frankly isn't very good. You could see titles change hands a lot with the group of contenders that's currently there.
Re: LWW without Crawford ?
Weak division but actually a lot of seemingly competitive match-ups...him moving up might be a good thing for 147 and 140
Re: LWW without Crawford ?
Oh it'll DEFINITELY be a good thing for 147. One of the sports deepest divisions gets even deeper with the inclusion of Crawford. It's good thing for the other contenders at 140 that Crawford is leaving. Puts guys like Postol, and Indongo back in the mix where winning titles becomes possible for them again...they were sh*t out of luck as long as Crawford was around holding all the cards.crusader wrote:Weak division but actually a lot of seemingly competitive match-ups...him moving up might be a good thing for 147 and 140

You are probably right, but this is a pretty sad scenario.gilgamesh wrote:If you're talking about is there a realistic chance that somebody gets ALL the belts like Crawford did. What about young American fighters (Davis, first) in a two or three years ?

Gervonta Davis? I don't see him ever being a Titleholder at 140.ValMar wrote:You are probably right, but this is a pretty sad scenario.gilgamesh wrote:If you're talking about is there a realistic chance that somebody gets ALL the belts like Crawford did. Mikey rules the division without Crawford. Davis is the new Broner. Pedraza was his DeMarco.ValMar wrote:You are probably right, but this is a pretty sad scenario.gilgamesh wrote:If you're talking about is there a realistic chance that somebody gets ALL the belts like Crawford did. Josh Taylor will win one of the belts at least. Think there's some good second rate guys like Postol, Indongo etc, Broner is probably done, Matthyse? I don't know.
Re: LWW without Crawford ?
Off topic, but -----is Gervonta Davis "the champion material" at all ? I have watched him twice, and I am not convinced, his opponents were not on the highest level.gilgamesh wrote:Gervonta Davis? I mean he's won a 130 pound title. It's not out of the question he could pick something up at 135 I don't think, but I don't know that he'd ever establish himself as the #1 guy in his weight class. He certainly hasn't done it at 130.ValMar wrote:Off topic, but -----is Gervonta Davis "the champion material" at all ? Who has established himself as the #1 guy at 130? Fighting Rigo does not get you there.gilgamesh wrote:I mean he's won a 130 pound title. Re: LWW without Crawford ?
Lomachenko is the #1 guy for the time being. Beating Walters makes him so. I'd say Berchelt is #2.Tanzio wrote:Who has established himself as the #1 guy at 130? I agree. Berchelt is #1, if anyone.

Why not let him prove it?ValMar wrote:Tanzio, Saad ! I can not believe ! Lomachenko is the level above the rest ! Two levels !Tanzio wrote:I agree. Berchelt is #1, if anyone.

I think he'd have a lot of hell with Berchelt. I'd like to see that fight.ValMar wrote:Tanzio, Saad ! I can not believe ! Lomachenko is the level above the rest ! Two levels !Tanzio wrote:I agree. Berchelt is #1, if anyone.

? ? ? Excuse me, my English is pretty bad.....I really can not understand you...You claim that Loma is unproven and Berchelt is #1 at 130 ?SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Why not let him prove it?ValMar wrote:Tanzio, Saad ! Re: LWW without Crawford ?
....And Walters has been considered potentially dangerous for Loma.gilgamesh wrote:I think he'd have a lot of hell with Berchelt. I'd like to see that fight.ValMar wrote:Tanzio, Saad !
