It's because he's standing too upright, he would be better off adopting typical gallagher tactics and just sitting on the guys chest and throwing the kitchen sink at him.

I presume that Skoglund was ranked no 8 in the tourneyment. Funny how they never mention his ranking but keep banging on about how Smith is 2 and Groves 1.

Glad to hear he is doing ok, he seemed to be ready to become a real p4p contender before the Hopkins loss and then his personal problems.

Do you reckon the arena is so darkly lit because it's a paltry attendance?

I'm convinced after seeing this that Groves would be a stylistic nightmare for Smith.

This fight is dead even for me which means Smith is up at least 3-4 points.

...why is Mick Williamson working "across" Smith?
Get Gallagher out of the ring, let Mick have a clear view of Smith's cuts and work them head on...and have Gallagher give instructions over the ropes

Joe Gallagher says Smith was coasting in the 10th but I gave it to Smith. 6-3-1.

If smith gets through this groves will land his one twos on that static target with ease.

Entertaining win* from Smith, but I think he's shown he's not gonna be as good as we hoped.

*Unless something crazy happens of course

Dear Points of View,

I am writing to say how disgusted I was to hear the language during the brutal fight between Callum Smith and Erik Skoglund - broadcast @ 11 pm. I was watching with my 7 year old daughter and my 4 year old son and I had to cover their ears. How do you explain Joe Gallagher's language during the heat of battle to young children ?!
Yours sincerely,

Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells.

117-111 Smith for me. Skoglund competitive through the fight with a good jab but didnt do enough overall.

Smith's stamina is unimpressive - by round 5 he was eating shots he'd been slipping away from easily in the first 4

The knockdown won that for smith.

Really solid fight and the bookmakers got that very wrong.

Not impressed with smith at all. Always been suspect about him as his teams confidence in him.
