I've been pretty impressed by Skoglund. His feints are quite good, but lacks pop in his punches.

That fight was incredibly close. Of course that doesn't matter in England. We will see the same in the next fight.

Skoglund was controlling the distance well by staying away... but wasn'T making Pts. As soon as Skoglund got on the inside , he got handled easily imo... Just a reluctant fighter to deal with... hard to look good a fighter who remains on the outside.

No, Smith has been the better one, obviously. Without any doubts.

It was a clear 8-4 type fight

But you stick with your anti England theme, you winner

Yes, it was 8-4, plus KD - it is clear......
I can not see Smith as a winner against Eubank.

totally diff type of fight... EUbank stays on the inside overcomitting and taking flush blows... Callum will hurt him with body shots

It was a decent fight.
Skoglund was a lot gamer than the odds suggested and he gave a good account of himself.
Smith started well but then got marked up pretty good and the fight started to even out.
Obviously the knockdown was very important as it seemed Skoglund started to tire toward the end.
Decision was legit.

Before this fight I had smith as clear favourite for that fight, now I'm less confident.

Both a very aggressive on the inside.
Smiths better on the outside
Eubanks fitter. Smith had to shake the lactic out his arms a couple times.

I'm 60/40 smith. My problem with smith is he starts really well, but as a fight goes on he seems to lack ideas sometimes and can get a bit predictable and robotic in a way. He holds big physical size advantage vs eubank though

I am 99/01 Eubank, he is much more creative, and I do not think that Smith is a great puncher (solid one - yes).

99/1 is ridiculous valmar be serious

Smith doesn't punch like golovkin or kovalev, but he does punch hard enough, and carries his power from 1-12. He punches much bigger than eubank for sure

Eubank has fought a career or nobodies including a miles past it abraham and also billy joe Saunders. He got out pointed vs Saunders. Be serious with 99/1

OK, I have been exaggerated, 99/1 was too much. I expected Smith to defeat this Swedish guy (I've never watched him before) by KO/TKO.
For me, Smith is no more than B+ SMW (something like Groves), and Eubank might be A- (he toyed with Abraham). Anyway, Eubank will be the favourite if this match happen, he . It is my personal opinion, of course. Smith-Groves would be 50/50 type of fight.

Groves beats eubank imo

Eubank toyed with abraham, who was literally 6/7 years past his best. That's the problem with eubank fans, they say this that and the other but when it comes to it, he's fighting domestic standard boxers. He's great at looking good against domestic standard but he's supposed to be world level. Fight some good opponents and see if you're toying with anyone then

Smith probably should've been about a -300 favorite. Would've been reasonable to make a bet on Skoglund, given the width of the odds. Of course, when Diddy creates threads like these, it usually means he lost a bet, so he probably indeed bet on Skoglund.

I like Smith but he's not reached the level i expected. I thinm Groves or DeGale would beat him pretty easily.

I thought it was fairly close without the KD. Callum hasnt looked great in his last two fights. But, I still think he beats Eubank who'll be lucky to get past the Turk.

Groves handily beats Smith though.

Ossyrules, believe me, I am not Eubank's fan, but I have to admit that his skillset is on the top level. Yes Abraham has passed his prime, but he is/was a truly warior, I have watched more than 20 his fights.

I view it as a good warm up fight for Callum.
He has been out for a while and this was never going to be a stunner. I expect him to do better next time out.

Yeah, I do not get how a decisive win at a high level, even if it involved some questionable moments, can be considered such a negative. Smith won over a game and awkward opponent.

I agree that he does not look to be the tourney's favorite, but he is still in it.

Sorry valmar but abraham was way past his best it was not a contest.

Well only know if eubank is top level when he fights a top level guy, whose not ready for retirement like abraham

I disliked his behaviour, when he ducked GGG, I do not know who was guilty, he or his father (likely both), but CEJ has something special, he bought me with his creativity. Anyway, we will see soon if he is really a "special one"..........I am not sure, of course, but I suppose he might be....

I was really surprised how competitive it was. I actually enjoyed it as much as the mega fight. Nice to see the mutual respect shown too.

Was a good contest. Smith clear winner. I hope Skoglund comes again. He gave a good account of himself in difficult circumstances.
