Froch - canelo
Brook - canelo
Nelson - canelo
Moore - canelo
Frampton - canelo
Coldwell - canelo
Joshua - canelo
Rhodes - canelo

Yafai - GGG

if this were a Sky broadcast i'd be expecting a one-sided commentary job too
I have a feeling Canelo wont be the only man getting boxing lesson today.

AT LAST - a genuine 100% Superfight, can't wait for this one - surely it's gonna be a night to remember.

Opinion and the bookies it seems are siding with the younger man, mainly on the you're only as good as your last fight basis. And you have to say, Alvarez is built like a fecking tank, looks near unstoppable - I've only seen him hurt early in his career, against Cotto's brother, and he handled it superbly..I said a few years back Canelo might beat GG, when the Mex was being touted as too chicken to take the fight.
He's got a rock hard look about him - so much so that I admit it makes me wonder just what sort of training program he's on in darkest Mexico.

Safest bet looks the golden boy Canelo on points in Vegas..

But I hate the way they dragged it out and tried to wait for GGG to get old - so I'm backing Golovkin to step up and beat this upstart, he's one of the greats and surely he's got that defining fight in him, and tonight I reckon he's gonna lay down his mark as one of the best. GGG on points.

Everyone can see that El Freckles does everything better than Golovkin, and is in his prime whereas GGG is 35. The world has swung around to Tuan Jim's way of thinking. I wouldn't be surprised if the Kazakh is stretched on his back by the sixth round. All hail the Ginger Man, as JP Donleavy would have said.
Strange that Canelo's camp did so much to avoid Golovkin for so long really, considering he apparently does everything better.

Defending the title against Khan, only to drop it and fight Liam Smith when GGG became mandatory, made it clear that Canelo's side was lacking confidence. They were obviously waiting it out and seem to think now's the right time; it may well be, though Canelo is nothing like Jacobs.

We watched the little 1/2 preshow teaser last night. The highlight reel of Canelo showed him beating up Smith, Cotto, Khan and JCC Jr mostly. And looking the bigger man in comparison.
And I thought, these guys are not a glimmer of GGG. And it made me think he is in for a bit of a shock.

I think this fact may be dawning on Canelo now. Buffer is doing the announcing now so I guess this is on the PPV.

I'm in the arena and they showed the arrivals to the arena. Alvarez looks like he is being led to the gallows. He looked almost sick with nerves to me.
Maybe he always looks like that.

GGG looks subdued as if he has the solemn duty to pull the lever.

I'm hoping, nay, expecting, that that natural fear will focus El Freckles and bring out the best in him. Golovkin still has that medieval brute strength but when matched with a dynamic threat his output dropped noticibly.

Give Alvarez 4 rounds, and one or two of them were close. No way he won 10 rounds.

It was a good fight and it was a refreshing change to see the best fight the best. But once again boxing gets a black eye by having an incompetent judge producing a score card of absolute nonsense.

Sometimes I hate boxing. Clear win for GGG. Competitive fight but absolutely no doubt who won that, by at least 3 or 4 rounds.

Adelaide nasty should be fired.

Fights like this just totally expose how corrupt boxing is. GGG won that fight. I gave Alvarez 4 rounds.

118-110, what a joke. disgusting. GGG was classy not to call it out. Canelo, you classless, ginger pudendum, about how you should have won. Rematch, kick his ass proper.

Call me crazy but I scored that for Canelo. He landed the more eye catching shots throughout the fight and I thought GGG was coming forward and hitting fresh air for most of the night.

Scoring aside how was the fight overall as a spectacle? Did it live up to the hype?

There's no point of a rematch at all. GGG would need to win 9 out of the 12 rounds against Alvarez and even then it would only be a split decision win for him.
