Well, he has SOME valid points, until he hits Mundine is better than anyone Joe has ever fought. Prime Reid kicks the shit out of Mundine any day.

My only thing is, at least he does present good arguments and defends his position well. He's not like a few posters who just spout off a reason with no explanation to such a minority view...such as Zab will beat Mayweather....

hey guys,i'm new here.i just posted for the first time on the current scene,i'm from the u.s.and i've seen joe fight 3 times before the lacy fight,and to tell you the truth i was never impressed with him till be beat the brakes off of lacy,joe's for real!! it's just a shame it took so long for most people over here to notice it.

I don't understand what Pundit's trying to say. Is he trying to say that Lacy was tailor-made for Calzaghe? Or that he was just overhyped? Perhaps that he was a bit limited? C'mon Pundit tell us what you really think

I love some of you get up in arms when people question English fighters, yet you let loose on other countries like it's your job and expect no shit in return.

I'm guaranteed to get a shit response to this but take a look at what you guys are saying. You see that Calzaghe destroyed Lacy, and that neither fighter has faults. The latter of that is far from the truth.

I said numerous times that I thought Lacy would beat Joe. I also the same amount of times that Jeff would struggle with Joe, and basically win on a few good shots in the latter rounds. Does that sound like I said he would conquer the world at all? No. I said Joe would beat Lacy most of the fight, and Lacy just never showed any desire to win that he had showed in his previous 21 fights. So shoot me for being wrong once, like NONE of you guys, especially you KO, have ever been wrong about a fight.

Some of the shit is so hypocritical. You guys get on people who are wrong, but expect nothing when you guys are on the short end, its borderline foolish at times.

PS: How is any of that whining? Jeff lost, my world moves on, oh fornicating well. I'm more interested in seeing how he comes back from it than anything. Did I ever say once the ref let shit go? Nope. Did I blame everything but lacy for losing? Nope. Jeff fought a horrid fight, and he was obviously more limited than I had previously thought. So much so that it cost him this fight in a big way. I said on quite a few occasion he was slow and can rely on one punch KO's, but I figured it wasn't enough to lose a fight. I was wrong, boohoo.

Well, this is the point that needs to be made. Joe Calzaghe's opponents are hand-selected, always have been and always will be, at least as long as he'll be managed by FW. While this is enouhg to satisfy the nuthuggers, it is utterly unsatisfactory for the boxing fan - the latter would like to see Calzaghe in some real challenges (agasnst a guy called Kessler, for example....

I don't know about Palle, but all experience with Warren suggests that this fight is extremely unlikely.

Indeed. Palle is not exactly the biggest risk taker when he doesn't have to be would he want to risk Kessler's WBA belt and send him over here to fight on a Warren promotion? I am not so sure. Calzaghe sure as hell isn't going over there and it wouldn't make sense to.

Kessler has said he wanted the winner of Lacy-Calzaghe before the fight - I hope this is still true afterwards. Admittedly I don't know; it's true he hasn't gone public with this recenlty, perhaps the Danes on the board can shed some insight on this. Sure, if Palle is as risk averse as Warren (or Kohl or Sauerland, for that matter), he would find easier options than Calzaghe.

But as you say, it takes two to tango and Warren is extremely unlikely to tango in the first place.
