I don't think they did the pre fight weigh in. So what weights did you think they were!

I'm guessing:

GGG: 165
Canelo: 195

Canelo looked enormous. Like Anthony Yarde wearing a ginger wig and beard!

Is it even humanly possible to gain 35lb in 24hrs?

I don't know how they gain 20lbs in that time.

I'm going to say there was a maximum of 10lbs between them

No way. I'd say 170 GGG, 180 Canelo, Canelo looked big, but they have quite different builds.

Maybe that is too high. But I think Canelo must definitely have put on at least 20lb minimum. He looked like the hulk to me.

Gatti once put on 19lbs against ganache and had only weighed in at 141 lbs.

And he nearly killed Gamache with a killer combo! I think this was the bout that made them decide on check weights the morning of the fight wasn't it? Was it the IBF?

edit: it was a non-title bout which was the last ever for Gamache but I'm sure they changed the rules to prevent boxers putting too much back on after the weigh-in after the outcry over Gatti's weight advantage

Yeah I think so. Gamache successfully sued.
