This is a groundbreaking fight. It will be the first PPV fight on YouTube and the first PPV fight where the undercard outsells the main event. Hope it still actually happens.

Why has Hennessy insisted on doing this alone without a major broadcaster surely on allegedly with time for promotion this would've gone a lot better

Look at Higgins, looking all strung out like a dosser
Needs to go and sit down for himself, what ever is he going to do anyway
Aggravating little man

Kugan interviewed Hughie just after the presser and they seemed to think that Higgins was drunk. Parker looked as bemused as anyone tbfOiky wrote:Look at Higgins, looking all strung out like a dosser

Peter seems to have turned into John recently! Was on about HMP Full Sutton and owning houses all over Europe earlier. He's showing a bit too much. We all thought he was calm! The Manchester lads say he was a serious guy!
Re: Is the Fury v Parker going to be a hard sell?
Turns out the PPV price is £14.95 and £9.95 was a early bird offer
Is anyone seriously going to pay PPV for this ?

I wouldn't mind watching it but I'm not paying extra for the privilege.Naandrew wrote:Turns out the PPV price is £14.95 and £9.95 was a early bird offer

Re: Is the Fury v Parker going to be a hard sell?
In todays initial ifl presentation reference is made to the YouTube PPV now being £14.99 and then in a later ifl interview Peter refers it to being "only a tenner" .
The left hand clearly doesn't know what the right hand is doing
Looking at the seating/booking maps there's absolutely loads of unsold tickets ( top tier not on sale ) and it appears that the majority of tickets sold will be to friends and family of those on the undercard with little interest in the main event.
It could be even more embarrassing on the night if having seen their fighter on the undercard that fans leave the venue , this often occurs at small hall shows.
The whole set up is farcical of epic proportions.
Quite frankly this fight could have been staged at a local sports centre.

Crikey!
Thanks guys for posting the video and the newspaper article. I enjoyed both, and I appreciate it
I loved the smile Parker had in the video when the speaker said it's a true 50/50 fight. That humble little "no it isn't, but you carry on" smile.
I hope the fight is good.
The whole organisation of it is rubbish as is the undercard. The Fury's have wasted 8 months of Joe's career all for this c*ck up.
I want Parker to win even more now, if only to get Fwank, Henderssey, and the Fury family out of stuffing up top level boxing. Hughey is a boring fighter who does not even deserve to be #1 contender for the European or commonwealth belt.
Am I right in saying that Kasi is his best win?

It's nothing to do with Frank. Peter could have the little fool put in a boot in five minutes if he wanted to.
Re: Is the Fury v Parker going to be a hard sell?
you mean like bjs and monroe? hardly anyone there, and that was a "world title fight" too.craigjenkins05 wrote:Why has Hennessy insisted on doing this alone without a major broadcaster surely on allegedly with time for promotion this would've gone a lot better

Re: Is the Fury v Parker going to be a hard sell?
So Parkers promoter was the skinny little guy? And the dude in the baseball cap was Botha? Have I got that right?
Re: Is the Fury v Parker going to be a hard sell?
Interesting fight and I'd have really liked to have seen it but 15 quid??? Eh!!! No chance I'm paying that. I'd rather sit and watch the X factor with the little ens!
Re: Is the Fury v Parker going to be a hard sell?
I can fully understand that. If it wasn't for my sense of patriotism, and the inclination that the actual fight will be entertaining, I'd give it a miss too.Stuarty30 wrote:Interesting fight and I'd have really liked to have seen it but 15 quid??? It will probably be the best B level HW fight this year. I know that's not saying much, but all we have to compare this year is Miller/Washington and Breazeale/Ingonu as far as the B level goes. And I think (hope) this fight will be more entertaining.

It will be on facebook live if you go to the right sports pages, or get kodi on firestick and you will find it there. I cannot imagine that a youtube feed will be difficult to stream on other mediums.Stuarty30 wrote:I have iPhone mate. And the Furies didn't realise that it was Botha, so it's a good job for Peter that he stayed put.Counter-puncher wrote:So Parkers promoter was the skinny little guy? And the dude in the baseball cap was Botha? Have I got that right?
Re: Is the Fury v Parker going to be a hard sell?
So do I. Most fights, unless it Mayweather or Joshua or something like GGG vs Canelo, I can get them on my phone. All the time. My computer is broken and I can't afford another one: if I couldn't stream on my phone I'd be screwed.Stuarty30 wrote:I have iPhone mate. I have iPhone and iPad! I'm in my own flat during week just now and I don't have wifi! I need to use my personal hotspot to get on iPad to post on here!clopixolacuphase wrote:So do I.
