BJS is out because he's a troll. Who could be a serious option for GGG in December ?

Derevyanchenko is the mandatory for IBF. If he isn't unifying with BJS he will have to fight Derev. Very hard fight though.

Although it would probably be a pain in the a#s and a wasted time to reach a deal with BJS I have the feeling that Golovkin is gonna push only for 'valuable' fights like BJS, Canelo II , Eubank Jr and Zurdo Ramirez. I don't think he's focused on mandatories that doesn't bring him good money. He'd probably vacate, if he's pressured.Tarkus wrote:Derevyanchenko is the mandatory for IBF. He won't be pressured. IBF will strip him if he doesn't fight Derevyanchenko next (unless he unifies with Saunders).apollo creed wrote:Although it would probably be a pain in the a#s and a wasted time to reach a deal with BJS I have the feeling that Golovkin is gonna push only for 'valuable' fights like BJS, Canelo II , Eubank Jr and Zurdo Ramirez. And yes, it will likely be one he loses though, or looks horrific and barely ekes out a win.

He would vacate if he has better options, like fighting BJS in the Winter and Canelo 2 in May. But if one of these two dont work out then he has no reason to avoid Derev, there are no better options out there. Going 168 would be a silly move in my opinion.apollo creed wrote:Although it would probably be a pain in the a#s and a wasted time to reach a deal with BJS I have the feeling that Golovkin is gonna push only for 'valuable' fights like BJS, Canelo II , Eubank Jr and Zurdo Ramirez. I think going to 168lb is in GGG's best interests, but not yet. The Canelo rematch is his best opportunity for another big payday and that will almost certainly be at middleweight, so I think it would be a mistake to get acclimatized to fighting at a higher weight at this stage.
A fight in December would be ideal - has GGG or anyone from his team been talking about this? I was pretty much assuming he would be taking time off before rematching Canelo in May so as not to risk the payday, although I'd much rather that he stay active.

There's talk of Cotto in December. I think it would be bad news for Cotto, but a good stay busy fight for Golovkin for rematching Canelo in Cinco deMayo... if Canelo has the balls to go back in... i suspect he will take the draw and run.

He should fight BJS if the pig agrees to take a reasonable purse. Then if necessary, he can vacate, because satisfying mandatories from 4 sanctioning bodies is close to impossible.

Another big fight for GGG and winnable could be Eubank Jr , if he somehow wins the WBSS.

That would be ideal but that pig is just a troll.boxing_rocks wrote:He should fight BJS if the pig agrees to take a reasonable purse. Then if necessary, he can vacate, because satisfying mandatories from 4 sanctioning bodies is close to impossible.
