People on here are complaining and pretending that they would have bought it at a lower price. The fact is that this fight has a limited appeal. Those who wish to watch will buy it for £5 or £15. Those that don't want to watch it if it costs £15 also won't pay £5 or £1.

Very true. Noticed the PPV channel they've set up only has 2,878 subscribers so far. That is no indication of how many people will buy but is an indicator that 22 hours before the fight there is a small number of people keeping a eye on the channel.

Live YouTube streams will display underneath it how many people are watching live. If the free stream is doing poor number tomorrow, the live PPV will no doubt be a flop.

I've seen some of these HBO and Showtime free pre-PPV streams in recent months attracting less than 20,000 viewers. That after HBO and Showtime have been advertising the streams to millions of their followers on social media and TV. Their streams are not geo-blocked and are available globally. That says to me either people are not that interested in what they are showing on YouTube or boxing fans prefer to watch events live on TV via a conventional broadcaster.

It's a bold move from Hennessy but one that looks destined to flop.
