Warren isn't involved, but does he really belong in small halls? He's a HOF promoter!KiwiRider wrote:I'm not paying for it.
The undercard is poop.
The highlights will be on the sunday night news here, if there are any highlights.
Good luck to Parker, get Furys/W@rren/Hennersey the heck out of title fights and back to small halls where they belong!!
So, who is buying the You Tube PPV this weekend then?

The rumours were it's not Hennessy that's put the money up.TheCobra wrote:The undercard is free I think, looks like it off the Youtube channel:

So £15 now, not a tenner. This is gona bomb so badly. They've dropped such a massive bollock here. Is this gona bankrupt Hennessy or what? Or does he just have a spare million-odd to blow?

Re: So, who is buying the You Tube PPV this weekend then?
I am most likely going to unless a decent stream is available. Even though the show has the feel of a limp wristed handshake, it's still a significant fight. And I am still interested if Fury will actually fulfil some measure of his promise. Plus there's the chance of cousin Tyson doing something mad.
I think it will be a messy, somewhat unexciting fight but you never know.
I don't want to repeat myself, but I've been suggesting for a long time that ultimately all world championship and big fights will be PPV and this is another step towards that. I just think that's the way a lot of media is going - more and more will be offered but we will have to pay for what show we watch rather than what channel we watch.

I was going to pay for this but left it too late and eventually watched the entire fight on a perfect HD stream for free. I would have felt short changed if I had parted with £15 to be honest, this should really be the end of Hennessy Promotions!

There were rumours that it had only sold 1000 tickets as well

Mick is probably bankrupt at this point.CaptainSpacerod wrote:Jesus christlefty wrote:Someone said about 8 or 9kCaptainSpacerod wrote:How many buys did it get.

I'm guessing Mick would have needed at least 200k PPV buys to make this viable.

Bn would surely have been interested wouldnt they. Maybe micks in a situation where he owes the fury clan because tyson stuck by him and gave him a piece of the pie from the wlad fight. With that in mind i can see the furys being too big for their boots and turning down tv offers that they considered to be risible as they have an inflated sense of hughies worth.

True although is there many broadcasters who would have paid £1 million plus, just to cover Parkers purse?CaptainSpacerod wrote:Bn would surely have been interested wouldnt they.
