Yes he has.
I'm thinking Jack will just wait. Had no intention of fighting Bivol and has nothing planned. I guess there is no point negotiating a fight you're not gonna tske
I think there is more to it than that.

Yeh, the Stevenson-Alvarez fight hasn't even been set yet. So it is kinda boring waiting for something that isn't even about to happen anytime. He probably take an easy fight end of the year..

Did you think he could beat Cleverly? There is no WBA Light Heavyweight Super World Champion since Ward retired last week due to wear and tear. It is only a month since Jack won the Light Heavyweight Title.

He knew he'd have to fight Bivol within so many days of the Cleverly fight...the Cleverly vs Jack fight was made with that caveat...so yeah it was a duck. It's not like Bivol wasn't paid to wait with the promise of facing the winner or anything

Where did WBA dig out the new opponent for Bivol ??? Why not Barrera who wants that fight?

http://www.BS.com/sullivan-bar ... le--120826

WBA is a bunch of crooks who need to be in the same jail cell with NSAC people.

Perhaps Sullivan Barrera is being lined-up to challenge for Andre Ward’s soon-to-be-vacated WBA “super” world title instead of the meaningless “regular” trinket?

I think we should wait and see how the WBA respond to Barrera’s complaints before prematurely condemning them.

Bivol vs Barrera should have been for the Super title while regular titles are supposed to be eliminated as promised by WBA.

Like I said, let’s wait and see how the WBA explains their actions before lambasting them. We haven’t heard both sides of the story yet.

Since Ward vacated, ther should be no Interim, Regular or Super anymore.. Bivol vs. Trent should be simply for the WBA world title.

Denis Lebedev currently holds the WBA "super" world cruiserweight world champion and yet, three months ago, they elevated Yunier Dorticos from being the "interim" titleholder to become their full “regular” champion, despite being away from the ring for more than a year.

What “should” ideally happen and what “actually” happens in the real-world are two completely different things.

Bivol is fighting someone I've never heard of and Jack is waiting for a promise from Floyd. Yeah, this is vintage Boxing.

Lebedev shouldn't have kept the title after being beaten by Gassiev. WBA is one absurd on top of another powered by corruption.

This move has Floyd written all over it. Floyd damaging the sport even in retirement.

I just wished that these belts commanded more respect than they do. Imagine if someone coughed up a belt to avoid a fight in the UFC? It wouldn't happen. Because there's only 1 belt and it's the goal of every fighter to win one. Another case of having too many straps in the sport cheapening the total value of holding one.

Floyd is a diligent student of Haymon who did these things to his fighters many times.

It's definitely the most financially responsible move to avoid high risk/low reward Bivol but the fans lose way too often with these kinds of moves.

I heard that Jack had to vacate the belt, that was in the terms before the Clev fight.

It wasn't in the terms, he just admitted that that was what they had planned to do.
