Parker Fury - What was the attendance in the arena?
Just wondering anyone care to estimate the attendance, who was there last night?
Also wonder how many buys it did, let's say 10,000 maximum = £150,000 - not even gona cover production costs that, camera crews, presenters, undercard etc etc.

Re: Parker Fury - What was the attendance in the arena?
The BBC Sport website says the capacity was 21,000 and the attendance was "roughly a quarter"

The whole top tier was curtained off. So not sure the capacity of the arena without the whole top tier. The block opposire where i was sat in block 102 i would say was about 1/3 full. Ringside possibly 3!4 full. The remaining blocks possibly were about 3/4 full too, not sure what the crowd capacity was in the same side as my block but im guessing about the same as opposite side of arena.
There was a load of Fagan fans in my block who left after his fight. I think at main event people were just moving to better seats within their block. I was on row J, we moved to row B which was just avobe the floor barrier which was about 10 rows back from ringside.

Yes. We had a right skin full, well I had 10 and half pints between lunch time and leaving the arena. Sat in Wetherspoons and Hard Rock Cafe in Manc and had a right laugh with my son. The boxing in whole was quite boring to be honest but I was ready for that after all the talk on this topic. But it was a day out with my lad.keithmoonhangover wrote:Did you have a good night mate?mimmy123 wrote:The whole top tier was curtained off. Re: Parker Fury - What was the attendance in the arena?
If they got 6,500 then that's actually a bit of a result. I was thinking it might do about 3,000.
Let's say it did 6,000 paid tickets, average price of let's say £60.
£360,000 on the gate.
10,000 PPV buys at £15
£150,000
That's me being generous I feel.
Total takings = £510,000
I bet the cost of putting it all on before purses was well upwards of £100,000.
Someone's badly out of pocket.

Not all of that £150k from the PPV goes to the promoter. Youtube will take a cut.TheCobra wrote:If they got 6,500 then that's actually a bit of a result. I was thinking it might do about 3,000.

You also need to strip VAT out of the £150k and ticketing income.jameswilson wrote:Not all of that £150k from the PPV goes to the promoter. Youtube will take a cut.TheCobra wrote:If they got 6,500 then that's actually a bit of a result. I was thinking it might do about 3,000.

Yeh good point though I assume Parker will have wanted a big chunk of that. Whether he got paid that up front as part of his purse that went into escrow, who knows?mickey1975 wrote:Nz PPV?

Re: Parker Fury - What was the attendance in the arena?
I didnt see any advertising in the ring, only Youtube on the aprons and on the back of the round card. So this promotion didnt make any money through ads.
Re: Parker Fury - What was the attendance in the arena?

His family should stop talking about him coming back. He clearly doesn't want to do it.

Why wasn't there 3,000 gorjas at Eddie's last O2 show?SAPFO wrote:Out of interest, why was there not 10k travellers there?

What the feck is a gorja?
I thought being a traveller that there would be a huge following from within that community.

Re: Parker Fury - What was the attendance in the arena?
A gorja is a pejorative term for anybody who isn't a traveller. So there wasn't 3000 people at Eddie's last 02 show?mickey1975 wrote:Why wasn't there 3,000 gorjas at Eddie's last O2 show?SAPFO wrote:Out of interest, why was there not 10k travellers there?
That's pretty bad.
I can't even think what that show was. Was that really the turn out? Less than 3000?
I suppose there wasn't 3000 gorjas there because it was shit.

Non traveller. Kell Brook sold less against Dan, Buglioni last time out, why didn't the gorja community ram those places out?SAPFO wrote:What the feck is a gorja?
