Danny Garcia

Post by Taansend »

What's your take on him?

Had a brilliant 18 months in which he beat Morales (x2), Khan, Judah & Matthysse then fought lesser opposition for a few years before losing narrowly against Thurman.

There's not been a mention of him since has there? He's almost 30 & a tough, decent fighter. Shame he sat back on his laurels after beating Matthysse.

He was flying like you say after that great run of wins but has stagnated since he moved up to 147 and his pops is a real liability to him in my opinion. Many have slated Eubank Sr for being too involved with his son's career but jeez that Angel really rubs people up the wrong way!

I'm not going to watch the rapping as I've gone off him enough already :shame:

He's a good fighter and should be facing more of the top fighters in his division. But he and his dad are wankers, was buzzing seeing him lose.

His win against Matthyse was very impressive, never really rated him before that. Danny actually seems like a nice kid to me, although obviously his dad is a complete moron. I’ve not seen his rap video yet tho, so I’ll probably change my mind when I do

Well it looks like he's another deluded sports star who thinks they are a rapper / musician.

It looks like he owns the production company, so I assume he has set up a music company (which will lose him lots of money) too.

I don't know much about music anymore as it's usually processed shite, but it seems ok.

Ps did anyone notice the producer is called 'Brown Starr'?!?!

He epitomizes everything wrong with PBC and Al Haymon.

After Matthysse he could have been a big star. I used to like him before that. Also Mauricio Herrera very clearly beat him in what was actually meant to be a tick over fight.

Barely fights gets massive money for poor opponents. Thurman really let himself and boxing down for not smashing him.

Also just seen Shawn Porter is fighting Granados on the Ortiz Wilder card. The WBC mandated Porter and Garcia for the interim title whilst Thurman is injured. Hence the winner is mandated to fight Thurman when he returns.

Porter fighting someone else confirms Garcia sh@t it.

No it doesnt, porter didn't want to wait until next year. Porter/Garcia is a main event.

Well let's see.

It was called ages ago. So DSG goes a year without fighting then. What a joke.

That's common place for pbc fighters. It isn't them.
