Free to air boxing galore over the next 7 weeks

Post by chad »

Plenty free to air boxing coming up for those without a subscription to SKY Sports, BT Sport or B0xnati0n. Probably the best run of free boxing I can remember in recent years.

30th September - Mairis Briedis Vs. Mike Perez - Free to air on ITV Box Office and TV Player website / app

7th October - Andrew Selby Vs. Maximino Flores - Channel 5

13th October - Sam Sheedy Vs. Liam Cameron - Freesports

20th October - Joe Joyce Vs. Ian Lewison - Dave

21st October - Murat Gassiev Vs. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk - Free to air on ITV Box Office and TV Player website / app

27th October - Juergen Braehmer Vs. Rob Brant - Free to air on ITV Box Office and TV Player website / app

11th November - Josh Taylor Vs. Miguel Vazquez - Channel 5

It also looks like Dennis Hobson will have a second card shown live on Freesports in November.

Class. Thanks for that. Looking at an absolute skint month for me October, so should these will be a god send.

Well looking forward to the Gasssiev fight, and I always enjoy watching Josh taylor. Even the Braemher fight should be interesting as I've never seen that Rob Brant fight but looks like he has the sort of profile to be a dark horse in the WBSS.

Good man Chad :TU: Looking forward to seeing what this new free sports deal brings. Heard about it on the asylum podcast a few weeks ago and it sounds really good. Hobson is going to be working with other promoters up and down the country so it could be great exposure for local talent. Hoping he strikes a deal with someone up here.

Just switch to analogue and use your freeview mate. I had to do that with Spike on Virgin because they dragged their heels there as well. My ariel connection was at other side of quite a big livingroom so whenever there was a fight on I'd have a big fukk off cable going right across the livingroom. Mrs Stuarty was not impressed :OhYes:

Alright mate. I don't think the fight is being shown via the ITV Hub. As far as I you you'll need to watch it via the TV Player website:

https://tvplayer.com/watch/itvboxoffice

You'll need to sign up for a free account to watch it. ITV Box Office and TV Player have an output deal.

There is numerous ways to watch TV Player. Visit this link: https://tvplayer.com/plus and click on "Supported Devices" in the How do I watch TVPlayer section.

Why didn't they just put it on ITV4, or something?

Thanks for the info - very useful.

Delighted with the Freesports channels - my children can watch the pro bull riding and monster trucks again that had disappeared when the Extreme Sports channel went. Plus boxing too, not to mention novelties like Belgian football, ice hockey and the like. It's like Eurosport in the early days.

Another little burst of free to air boxing over the winter months:

1st December - Elliott Matthews Vs. Grant Dennis - Freesports

2nd December - Anthony Yigit Vs. Joe Hughes - Channel 5

20th January - Yunier Dorticos vs. Murat Gassiev - Free to air on ITV Box Office and TV Player website / app (Not yet officially confirmed)

27th January - Oleksandr Usyk vs. Mairis Briedis - Free to air on ITV Box Office and TV Player website / app (Not yet officially confirmed)

2nd February - Josh Wale Vs. Bobby Jenkinson - Freesports

Hopefully come mid-January we'll have news of the next Hayemaker Ringstar show on Dave and Andrew Selby's first outing of 2018 on Channel 5.

Couple more free to air shows.

13th December - Jeff Horn vs. Gary Corcoran - Box-nation (Freeview broadcast on SKY platform)

15th December - Ashley Brace vs. Melanie Sorroche - S4C (SKY channel 134)

The card on 15th December also features Fred Evans, Lee Haskins and Craig Kennedy. No idea if their fights will be shown or not.

Waiting on confirmation of 1 more free to air show prior to Christmas. Should know in the coming days.
