Canelo Alvarez Resume.. Rate it..

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

Not bad at all for a 27 year old

GG Golovkin
Erislandy Lara
Austin Trout
Julio Chavez Jr
Kirkland
Alfredo Angulo
Miguel Cotto

Some goot names, You can include Mayweather, Khan..

I think out of the names, He fought Golovkin, Lara, Trout and arguably Cotto in their prime.. Mayweather and Khan included..

I also know, the wins, a couple or maybe more are again arguable e.g. Lara, Trout, Cotto..

We might see Andrade move up, we have Lara who possibly can, Charlo already has.. But if Canelo never fought them at 154, what are the chances he fights them at 160?

Lost to Golovkin
Lost to Lara
Lost to Cotto
Chavez = Zombie

Angulo stopped by Kirkland & Lara before Canelo

Kirkland, good convincing win

Trout undefeated at the time so not bad

Vicious stoppage over Khan but didn't belong at that weight

Liam Smith nowhere near the level of Canelo

Two good wins and a few okay wins but against lower level opposition. Never knocked out a top level opponent

I completly agree with what you have said. The Trout decision was somewhat questionable too.. Angulo Wasn't at his best, but it was Canelo's frst fight after Mayweather. Kirkland was fighting after nearly 2 years aswel I believe.
