i have an old issure of the ring magazine and how come some fighters like Vitali Klitschko who only had the WBC belt are called the Heavyweight World Champ and then a guy like Ruiz is called WBA titleist. and it even shows winky wright who dusnt hold a belt as World light middleweight champ. How do u be given the name WORLD CHAMP instead of TITLEIST. i dont get it!!!

Re: WORLD CHAMPIONS
Ring magazine has their own system, they take the top ten rated guys if the #1 guy challenges a #2 or #3 guy, the winner become champ. It doesn't factor the alphabet titles into it at all. If a guy gives up a belt it doesn't factor the forfeit of the title at all. I hope I made sense there. The Ring championship isn't really an official world championship it just tries to justify the corruption of the alphabet titles. Some people view it as a definitive source to see the true champions of the division (like Ring magazine asskisser Brian Kenny).migz wrote:ok firstly.
